Umm... A friend has a Centurion and it's grrreat. It puts off a nice wake, and its really comfortable. They are starting to have problems with the engine though. But I'm sure that's just because we have put so many hours on it. I have 0 experience with the Moomba tho, so I can't help you out too much.

go to websites for specs. Usually, they will have the weight also posted. Generally, the heavier throws the biggest wake. GENERALLY. Not always. It can be differnt due to hull design.

But, some company websites have a wake size at any given mph. Look for this and see what it says. Unfortunatly, I have never ridden behind either, but I hope this helps.

probably doesnt help much, but you seem desperate for info. i have a centurion avalanche and it is a great boat. its got a great wake and is reliable. like i said, probably doesnt help a whole lot since your looking at an elite d-drive centurion. i have no experience with moomba.

I know two Centurion owners that would tell you NOT to buy the Centurion. They will testify that they fall apart. I'm not sure about the Avalanche hull, but I'm not a big fan of the Air Warrior wake. It can be big, but it gets a lot of wash over the top of the wake.

I have a 2003 moomba outback, and it throws a great wake and we didn't have any problems yet. great boat for the money. I have never tried a centurion.

I have been behind an outback several times and was unimpressed with the wake size with 700 lbs of ballast + 3 adults. It drove well and seemed to be reliable but also has low sides and water over the bow with weight is something you'l think about. I'm not sure which year the one I was behind but think it may have been an '00??? The Mobius has a MUCH bigger wake and I think I would only buy a V-drive Moomba. Never been behind the other boat so no help there.

Moomba. I actually have no experience with the Moomba but Centurions are made out of crappy parts and they fall apart.

I'm happy w/ my '01 Outback, we do have to load it pretty well to get a decent wake. Have had 1 mechanical prob (@ 250 hrs), but my dealer here took care of me.

just so you all know centurion wakes dont suck and dont fall apart. some riders i met at the local lake took me out for a ride in their air warrior and they had that thing loaded down and were going absolutely enormous behind it. Ive had a centurion for almost 5 years now and the only part that has broken is the rom guage/ hour meter which isnt too bad because it shows only half of the hours that we have put on it.

I thought we all went over this. Centurions are garbage. Get the Moomba. Unless your only gonna use it a few times a year. But if you want it to last ....Dont get the Centurion. I pefer Mastercraft but you didnt ask that so I'll stop here.

The Mobius LS and the Outback LS have the same hull and therefore the same wake. I personally would rather have a newer, Moomba than an older Launch, I like having a warranty.

WaKeOrDiE!,

If you can get a Supra, definitely do it. It is an awesome boat for wakeboarding. I just got a 2003 SSV after demo-ing lots of different boats. It's got a really smooth wake. Best bang for your buck. I love mine!
