i've heard they're not but i think you just have to know where to put 'em

do you have some where you're located belmont?

there aren't any good ones where i ride and everytime we get toghether to build one something always keeps us from it. i've been wanting to hit some good ones before the season is over so let me know if you have any.

The dnr in WI came and talked to us about our sliders once. He said they were ok, as long as we were using 100 ft of rope, which we were Wink , so the boat was far enough away from shore when we hit them. We had two 20' stationary sliders about 10 ft from shore.

if you are on a public lake, some old farts will complain to the cops or lake patrol or whatever about it and you hitting it, so it would be a good idea to be able to put it up on the shore or take it someplace like your house when it's not in use.....

I've never seen any on Norris Lake. Only thing I've ever seen on Norris is a slalom course.... I don't think most non boarding locals would be tolerant of a kicker.

Most people probably wouldn't be tolerant of something out in the middle of the lake. You could always just build a floating slider and put in near your dock and pull it out when you're not using it, or float it to shore and tie it up to a tree or something.

03Belmont, even if they are legal in your area,it puts you in alot of legal issue's. I would say build a floatable one and bring it in after every time you use it,this also becomes a pane in the ass. Just remember as soon as you bring the slider/kicker out on the water it becomes public property and if someone gets hurt you are responsible.
