Yeah, you're right, I just checked:
Iron Cross: A Wrapped Moby Dick - Invented by Darin Shapiro
But I've heard a bunch other people call it a wrapped whirlybird before. |

Hmm... the post I was answering mysteriously diappeared...
Anyways, I think the difference is an iron cross looks like a moby dick (handle unwraps behind back) and a wrapped whirly looks like a whirly (handle unwraps over head). |

yes... i was editing cause I get a little confused about inverted spins. But anyways, my point was I don't think a wrapped whirly is called an Iron cross. |

| You can't wrap a whirly...for it has no handle pass in the first place. The definition of the wrapped Moby Dick is right, Iron Cross action. |

| No, I've seen a vid of it. You come in like for an Iron cross, but instead of letting the handle unwrap by your waist, you pull it up over your head. This way, if you only saw the second half of the trick, it would look like a normal whirly. |

| I dunno, I never said there was a point. Maybe it's easier to start the rotation that way? |

| That video is just a sloppy Iron Cross. Kind of like how some people call a HS Front Flip with their arms extended an S-Bend, when it's really just a sloppy Front. |

| I thought a wrecking ball was a wrapped Moby Dick. Maybe not. Anybody know what this trick is? |

Wrecking Ball: A wrapped tantrum with a backside 360. Sometimes referred to as a wrapped Whirlybird - Invented by Matt Hickman.
Iron Cross: A Wrapped Moby Dick - Invented by Darin Shapiro
I think that the difference between the two is that an iron cross is rotated like a moby dick and a wrecking ball is rotated like a whirly. |

| Who cares what it's called!!!!!!!!!!! Can anyone do it on this post? Can any of your friends? No, so why do you need to know what it's called? On a more friendly note, I used to try these for the hell of it. I would do it off the d-up and get really close, landing on the board and just not being able to ride away. To top it off i didn't know what it was called. |

| Rode with Dave Briscoe this summer. Yes, he does them. I asked him what that wrapped moby dick was when he got in the boat after his set. He called it a wrecking ball. |
