In the attached picture I am pointing to 2 white things what are they for? It seems that they are specific to Nautique but I am not sure.

They're your speedo pickups, one for each speedometer. All boats have them.

You don't have them because you have a paddle wheel pick up and/or perfect pass. They're on some newer boats these days.

I find it hard to believe that a super air doesn't have a paddle wheel...

The Super Air in the picture has Perfect Pass. I demoed it before I bought my X-star. Shouldn't it also have a paddle wheel?

If a boat has Digital Pro or Wakeboard Pro then it has a paddle wheel. But except for Malibu and Mastercraft the paddle wheel only feeds the Perfect Pass Master Control Module. Malibu and Mastercraft both use the paddle wheel to drive the speedos also (Mastercraft started in 2002, Malibu for '03). I would expect this to become standard across the board in the next 2 years.

Skiers Choice stopped using the rear speedo pickups at the beginning of the 2002 season. Every 2002 and 2003 Supra and Moomba come standard with the center hull paddlewheel pickup already installed. So most of the hard part of installing perfect pass is already taken care of if you wish to add it later. It also almost totally eliminates the problem of speedo pickups getting clogged up.

I can't believe you don't know what "those white things" are.

That is probably my biggest knock on a Nautique. You have a $40k+ boat with $7 Kmart Pickups!

I have both on my Nautique and the Perfect Pass guage with the paddle wheel is dead on with the pick up tubes stock speedo. The paddle wheel actually screws up in turns a little more than the stock speedo. I guess it depends on where the paddle whell is located.

Those are called Pitots if I'm not mistaken. They are for Airguide speedometers. I don't think it has anything to do with perfect pass. Most boats with Airguide speedo's have those pickups. My Tige has them.

What the hell are you talkin about. The wheel for the perfect pass is underneath the drive seat (SAN) where the water is smooth under the boat. so the white things (or 7 kmart part what ever dumdass) have nothing to do with perfect pass
