|
|
I just picked up a new Accurate Catalyst handle and Yellow-Jacket rope. Notable change in pop over my old cheap rope and handle. I can definitely tell a difference being pulled with the new rope. But I didn't expect to get as much pop off the wake as I am getting now. Rope is a little longer than my old rope also.
Am I simply holding my edge through the wake because my technique has changed between ropes and handles or is the rope helping hold the edge better? Also, having not experienced this much height before, I had some difficulty with the landings, some were a bit hard especially for this old timer. Had some pretty good wipeouts too, but can't wait to get back out again. |

yeah, having a non-stretch rope will keep you cutting harder into the wake. also a longer line will let you build more speed. both will help give you more pop off the wake.

Non strech lines can take a bit of getting use too for some.
As for the pop. Wakeboarding is all about line tension at the wake and of course you keep that tension with a non strech. |

| yeah, it's probably both. if you have good line tension and a good progressive edge coming into the wake and leaving it, then its both |
