I know that the more weight u have the bigger the wake but what actually does what. like what does putting more weight in the center do to the wake like more of a lip or more rampy or what. were about to get a new boat and was wondering how i should weight it. i know this probably sounds like a stupied question but o well i am stupied i guess

Well from my experience you cannot put alot of weight on a bat because there wings aren't very big but and African Swallow can carry quite a bit more I think like twice there body weight.
Hope this helps. _________________ Got Spelling? |

good one JD.
you'll have to weight different boats differently. too much weight in the back can cause a wider wake or trashy wake. it can also take away lip. you counter this by putting weight in the front and see if it helps. you just have to experiment for a while with boat speeds, rope lengths and weights to figure out what you like the best. |

JD, did you mean "their wings... their bodyweight?"
Sorry, but your sig was just asking for it! As Trevo might put it, "Stupied!"
The Holy Grail reference does earn you points BTW.

Wes is right every boat is different, All ways try to weight from mid up to the front for one thing it will help you start out of the hole and second nobody ever wants to sit up front!!! peace like wes said do'nt over weight the back it will make a wider wake!!

When you figure out how to weight the boat, just do it and start moving it around..(yea, it'll take a while, or a really strong, sober friend) and screw with it unitl you like the shape... different people like different wakes. _________________ Couldn't think of a witty commment... so... um.... yea |
