| I've been wakeboarding for two whole years so far, and im not very good, im only doing tantrums and 3's and some swtich stuff, its kinda depressing to hear about people who have been riding for as long as or less than i have and are already sponsored or killin it, do most people ask how long you have been wakeboarding and assume that if youve been doing it for a while that you should be better or something, i heard that keith lyman went pro in under three years, thats pretty insane. |

Well, I've been riding for 5 years now, and I'm just now starting to collect most of the basic inverts and spins. I mean, if you want to use keith lyman as an example, yes, talent is a factor, but so is riding time. If you grow up riding in florida, your going to be able to ride a lot and really work on things. If you were me growing up riding, I only got to ride 3-4 months of the year if I was lucky only on weekends, made it real tough to progress. Now that I live in florida, it's a little easier to progress.
peace

| Keith Lyman moved ot Florida and lived in a tent for a while just so he could ride. He also rode with parks quite a bit. Not sure how he knew Parks but he already had a lot goin for him. It does take talent but i would think that anyone with decent athletic ability and the balls to learn could progress fairly quickly from riding behind an x-star everyday with Parks. |

ive been riding for a year now. I started off on the cable and learnt all my stuff there pretty much, mobes, rolls to blinds, fronts, ralleys etc, how to hit sliders, n off the kickers 3s,5s 7s, and all my blind and ts spins. Now im riding boat and am taking all the tricks to boat pretty easily. The cable actully helped me out. _________________ >-èA§T§ÌDè->RÌdèR-> |

They could make that a new TV reality series:
Watch as a normal, everyday suburbanite moves into a tent to become a prowakeboarder with Parks as their mentor...
