No.1, I'd personally advise against a LF. That's just me, there is some history about the designs I don't like at all. They are just rebranded Cassettes.

How big is your foot size? That can actually play a part in what deck you choose too.

wake&bake, I agree with Josh. If you were going to buy an LF...don't. Buy a cassette...LF just stole the old cassette designs.

Ok, with size 12 feet, I can pretty safely say that the Mutiny's will be very well suited to you, as the are a little wider at the tips than other brands. They should feel better than a LF deck.

Not trying to push the product on you, if you had of said you had smaller feet I would have recomended you looking at Cassettes and Kampus too.

Smaller length boards are better for tech tricks, larger are better for w2w moves. Check out something in the 42" - 43" region I'd say for your size.

I don't do this very often, but I'm going to disagree with Josh. With size 12 feet (and Josh remember thats size 12 US, not our AUS and NZ size 12) a Cassette will be fine, although a Kampus might be a bit tight.

However as Josh said, Mutiny, Cassette or Kampus are the way to go

And if the cassettes are fine than what is wrong with a liquid force deck.

Josh said they are the same thing. Rolling Eyes

So why would you buy a LF deck when you can buy a cassette deck? I will never promote the purchase of a product that is a ripoff...sorry.

Its not really a rip off because LF funded and paid for everything that Cassette did.

It was just under a different name. You could say the same thing about 484. Confused

Ohhh, trust me, we have... 484 is scum.

I wouldn't buy a LF until they designed something totally different. (Well, I'd buy a Mutiny or Cassette first anyway probably) I do think LF has some kind of right to use those shapes to get them through the last half of the year, seeing as how they helped Cassette out. That doesn't mean I'd ride them or particulary like the fact they are doing it, but I can see them having a right to use the shapes.

If they use them for the 2004 season, it's pretty sh*tty though. Plus I don't like how certain members of LF f*cked Thomas around with some of the behind the scenes stuff.

I dunno Jeremy, size 12 is a pretty large foot. I think the wider tips and tails could help a bit. I think Dave B has feet around that size and he said the little bit extra felt nice to him. Cassette would probably still be fine, it totally rules out Hyperlite though - Which is a good thing. Very Happy

I got a size 13's and my I got heel/toe drag on the 4-trac 42", the 3D 43" and the Catalyst 112. The wider tip/tail is a huge reason I love my Mutiny, no heel drag and more pop in a shorter board.

Josh R,

I agree with you and unfortunatley there are politics involved in even our sport, which make it less fun. Mad

I hear ya Grouch... Last season I got really burnt out by the political BS that happens behind the scenes, it got me down.
