"God has a hard-on for Marines. Because we kill everything we see."

Personally, I'd run away from home. That simple. Before they can ship you off. Not much chance of escape from the military.

The way I see it you have two, maybe three, choices:

1 - Stay in the military school and just deal with it for a year
2 - Leave home and try to make it on your own
3 - Convince your parents to let you attend a different school (I'm assuming you already tried this one and failed)

If you really hate the military school then staying would obviously be difficult, but would it be more difficult than living on your own? Do you have anyone that you could live with? It also depends on how old you are, if you're close to 18 then it's definitely easier to live on your own or at least not under your parents control.

One thing to think about though...it's the tough times in life that make you a stronger person. If you can deal with military school for a year or two (how many years do you have?) it will probably make you a stronger person in the long run.

Good luck with your decision.

Well and ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. You shouldn't have f***** up in the first place and maybe your parents wouldn't be sending you to military school dumb***.

Sorry If I seem a little harsh... I just woke up.

And by the way what the hell is this thing? ---> Girl

What's your definition of "a little dirty"?
Even though you're 16, you can still go to Family Court and try to become an Emancipated Minor.
( but that would entail you proving that you could be self-sufficient with Monetary support)

Just do good in school and listen to the instructors and prove that you have become more responsible and are ready to be back home. Are you sure that they are just sending you because of an unclean room?

well i was like majorly depressed and they said i had "bad" friends and my parents hated them because they said that they look like they dont care how they look. whatever that means. and they said that since we were moving from germany to alabama and i'd have to change schools anyways so they just decided that theyd send me to military school because they thought it was best for me. and because i got a C in like two classes

Well you will probably have friends that your parents don't like whether you're 16 or 26. They are just looking out for you but you are ultimately the one who has to choose your friends, not your parents. Kick butt in school, improve your attitude and you'll do fine.

Tell your parents that the things you're doing are what normal teenagers all over the world are doing. I know for a fact that my dirty clothes are always near the basket, but they never quite make it in. A 'C' is technically an average grade and if you have B's and A's in the rest of your classes I dont see what the problem is there. As far as friends go, I can see why your parents might be concerned because thats their job, but it isnt necessary for them to take it so far as to send you to military school.

Hmmmm. Put your parents on here and let's hear their side of the story.

Until then, quit whining, suck it up and do a good job. You're getting a better upbringing than many on these boards.

in all honesty I got shipped away to military school for a year when I was back in HS, I hated in then but in retrospect it was one of the better times of my life, the structured atmosphere really helps ADD kids develop, and if make sure you use your time wisely while your there. I ended up teaching myself latin during the study time, but its what you make of it. Oh yeah and I'm not some silly ass old fart trying to preach to you, I'm 26 and am just about finished makin my first mill.

The military is one thing but military SCHOOL? I'm sorry but if some jarhead wannabe, who gets his kicks yelling at kids, were doing his little drill sargeant act on me I would be rolling on the floor laughing. If he were spitting in my face, like they seem to enjoy, I'd be walking in the other direction...right off campus if necessary. My point is that training for the stresses of war requires some extreme measures and those who enlist usually understand that, but applying that stuff to highschool kids who can't find the clothes hamper is just F'd up, IMO.

So in the military, if you don't follow orders and stuff, you get kicked out, thrown in the brig, or something like that, right? What if screw up in military school, e.g. you just laugh at the loud-mouthed retards yelling at you to do push-ups or whatever? What happens to you? Can they actually lock you up or something?

In the military, you do what you are told out of respect for the organization, the country, the rank, etc. In military school, what is your motivation? Why should you respect any 30-year-old jackass yelling at 15-year-olds about their shirt buttons for no good reason?

Well, whatever. I guess all we know is that either snwboarder is a major f-up or his parents are. Confused

ST, you are thinking about boot camp. Either Military or correctional.

Most of the good Military Schools are pretty damned hard to get into and pretty easy to get kicked out of. They also provide and excellent jumping board for college.

They do have a structured environment that promotes self discipline.

Now, if I had a 15 year old jack ass yelling and laughing at me, I'd me mighty tempted to put him in a boot camp. Mr. Green
