Here, i found a pic of when i first learned to "pop" in this pic i didnt have my 'edging ' totally down,,,after i got that, ,,,then i cleared the wake, that was about 3 weeks after this photo...so this was my first Legit air and like you,,,damn it! i was proud...i had been wakeboarding for a month and 1/2,,so i guess that was pretty good progression..??? have someone video tape you,,then u can watch and i think it really helps to see what u r doing right or what u need to work on...! try it, it helped me! good luck! it just keeps getting better, just make sure you are working on your progressive cut and edge, and stand tall at the wake, I learned my jumps totally wrong by sucking in my knees off the wake, stand tall - I was getting high, but by standing tall, you don't look like you are taking a dump like this pic ..... LOL Shocked Shocked Laughing Shocked Shocked

That looks perfect! I'm just telling what I did wrong, it took a while to break the habit, just start your cut a few feet from the wake and WORK IT! it's just that so many of us create bad habits in the beginning Embarassed

but you could do a nice grab in that position for sure!!! yeah, when iam trying to just get bigger air, i dont cut out so far and i edge like there is no tomorow...then wehn i am going for clearing the wake, i cut out REALLY far and edge in, but to water right b4 wake then when i hit it, i pop and stand up tall....you get out there and ahave to put all that together that you have learned and its hard! i guess over time it comes really easy,,but i am still learning. nice air though on your pic!!! Razz

Don't forget to pull the rope to your lead hip when in the air & also look toward the horizon - get those eyes off the water.

That's some pretty good air off that wake, riverfreak.
