Tower- I think Extended Pylons cause too much stress on the factory pylon. Everyone I know with a pylon is constantly having to tighten it. And they flex way too much, thirdly they don't look nearly as nice. Another thing to think about is boat resale a good tower will increase sellability of your boat. You might actually even get a little extra cash out of it!!!! |

Board racks are actually a pretty big plus themselves. Wakeboards can take up a lot of boat space.

Tower by far. For all the reasons listed above. Pylons are a pain. They stress the original pylon and are typically in the way. However, towers are quite a bit more expensive, and can't be taken down as easily. Those are the only cons that I can think of-

Pylons:
-get in the way in the boat(pole and cables)
-have to take it down to put on a boat cover
-less expensive
Tower:
-can leave it on
-doesn't get in the way as much
-can put board racks and speakers on it
-more expensive
A tower is way better, but costs 3 to 5 times as much as a pylon. |

You can get into a Skylon Swoop Sports Tower for $799.95. Another inexpensive tower option is the Wake Designs Whirly Bar Pro Series tower. This one sell for under $1,000 (3 times the price of a pylon) and looks great. No cable makes all the difference.

If you can afford it, I would definitely go with a tower.
