My hubby's company picnic was this weekend and there was a hoola hoop contest for 18 and over. Well, I'm pretty good so I enter. We get down to 3 contestants and they tell us to stand on 1 foot and do it. I didn't even blink, I just stood on one foot. There is no way I could have done that before I started balance training (indo board, skateboarding, etc.) to help my wakeboarding. I walked away with a free radio. Pretty cool.
I never, ever in a million years would have thought my wakeboarding would help my hoola-hooping. I'm wondering what other physical activities that new found balance will help with. hahahahaha
