What kind of wood should i get to cover the frame? normal plywood or what. I have no idea

Standard ply is fine, you just need to paint it with an oil pased exterior paint, paying special attention to the edges to seal them as they suck the water in.

You may need marine ply if you're planning on leaving the slider in for a while.

DONT USE PRESSURE TREATED WOOD IT IS TREATED WITH ARSENIC, THIS IS SO BAD FOR THE ENVIROMENT

pressure treated wood isn't treated with arsenic any more they stopped it not to long ago use pressure treated it wil last you alot longer but if you choose to use regular douglas fur just just use some exterior polyurethane and paint it on it works great i have it on my half pipe and its still standing strong through the rain and snow
