Alright, i'm finally getting around to buying one of the balance boards...just looking for some input on the styles. It's pretty obvious which company has the pro support and advertising $$$$...but that doesn't always mean "better". Can anyone share pro/cons on either? Here is what i know of the benefits to each one:

Bongo Board http://www.fitter1.com/bongo.html
- Groove down the middle, stoppers at the end to prevent rocketing the board into lil kids and stereo equipment
- bungee (its removeable) to hold the rocker in place on the groove
- the roller has tapered ends to alow for easier spins...i also think the FitterFirst guy said that on the new ones, the rollers spin indipendent of eachother on each side. Helps the pivoting motion.
- grip tape
- 20 bucks cheaper

Indo Boardhttp://www.indoboard.com/
- you can rocket the board into lil kids and break stuff at your friends house.
- all the pro's use it, so it must be good
- it's fatter (don't know if this is good or not)
- different color choices (the colors look gay tho..i'd just go with the standard anyway)

I don't know if it's just me, but the Bongo board seems to be better (the guy i was talking to about the Bongo, kept telling me how fun it was to spin around)

Whatta ya'll think

Collin

I think you sound like you have some pent-up homosexual tendencies.

I have never been on the Bongo Board. I do however, own the Indo Board, and it rocks. If I were you, I would spend the money and get their kicktail version. That way, you have the most fun board they make (IMO) and the cylinder, then you can make your own boards, since there are no funky gadgets underneath, it's basically just a flat piece of wood. I have built 3 different boards for it, one shaped like a scaled down squirt, one like the original indo board, and another original Indo shape, but larger. I have also made a smaller version for my son (with PVC for the cylinder) and he loves it.

The indo board does have stops on it by the way, (the kicktail doesn't however). I bought the kicktail because that would be hard to make, plus, it is a blast.

The stops dont keep you from launching it at all. I was usuing the indo board with stops and launched into the side of my roomates computer. Still fun though.

Well...i'll tell ya'll how gay the bongo board is when it comes in the mail on thursday or friday. I went ahead and ordered it before I read all your insightful posts Razz . I think it comes with a nice scarf and a gerbil too...pretty sweet.

Since all you other fags are around Dallas/TX area...if it's cool, maybe i'll let ya try it out...
