Just wondering, those of you with towers w/ board racks: When towing your boat do you tow with the boards on the racks, or wait till the water to put them up?

I leave them on my boat if I'm going a short distance and not going over 50 mph. If its longer or faster I take them down just in case.

We always take them down when towing. Probably wouldnt be to smart to leave them up, although ive never actually left them on the racks while towing.

i take them down when trailering. during the summer this same topic came up and someone said that you are responsible for any and all damages that occur from boards that come out of the racks. also someone said that they got a ticket for being too wide cuz the racks stuck out too much and went into the other lanes. i cant imagine that leaving the boards in the racks could be good, but its up to you i guess.
