I tried to pound it into the sand using a piece of wood and hittin the top f the wood with a hmmer, but that didnt seem to work well, any suggestions how to secure it in the sand?? and i cant get a hose ou there or get one from lowes to make hle....

What you need is a pile driver. A friend made one. It weighs about 80 pounds. It is a steal tube that fits over the wood with handles on the outside. You place it over the wood and pound it down at lease 3 or 4 feet into the ground. With ours it only takes about 30 seconds to put a 2by4 four feet in the ground. Also cut the end of the wood that is going into the ground at an angle. An alternative is a sledge hammer, but it is much more work.

get a water pump...

then "cowboy" rig up a tube, that is metel that gets smaller at the end so its got some pressure and "blow" the dirt away while haveing someone pound the 4X4 2X6 whatever you are useing it...a pressure washer with a huge attachment will work...
