me and my friend are pimping out our boat with a new system before the season starts ...we are going to be pumping about 3,600 watts through it....we are putting about 4 in the hood that covers the engine(2 toward the front, and 2 toward the back)....then my bud is making us a box for a sub....which we are putting up both sides of the boat....just need some help in deciding brand of speakers.....ALPINE or INFINITY...the subs we are going to use are R&F PUNCH subs b/c they seem most reliable....if u think otherwise please tell me....thanks guys....peace.

Coming from an audiophile (finally something i know about better than most of the other people on the website) find some Nakamichi speakers online. They can offen be found for cheap because they arent well known and they will beat the crap out of anything youve ever heard. (im just hoping you arent one of those people who thinks that Bose is good stuff). But ya quality wise hunt down some nakamichi, if its only between infinity and alpine go alpine.

I really like the Rockford Fosgates. The HPC models are better than any marine speaker. I got 8 of them, 4 in the boat and 4 on the Tower.

"Board" is right, if you can find some Nak's go with them, they beat anything. Between Infi. and alpine its a toss up. Both are great speakers and people will tell you different things, but there isn't one clear winner. You'll be happy with either
