Ahhh... I have a hangover and a sore neck right now! Went to see my mates band in concert and sort of went a bit silly. Got to bed at 3, up again at 7 for work at 8:30!

Life sucks!

the best way is to never get one. just drink 3 glasses of water before you go to bed and you wont get one.

Lots of water, take a crap, pee, and sleep...try eating something too sometimes it helps...

Yeah, I minimised my pain by switching to water an hour before I left the venue, and having a shower when I got home. They always help. Plus I needed it (damn sweaty).

i dont know if this has anything to do with a hangover but one time i was really sh*tfaced and thought i was gonna get sick and this chick made some toast but burned the hell out of it and she told me to eat that with this big glass of water and like 15 mins later i felt better. still drunk but everything quit spinning so much.

The real cure for a hangover is water and oxygen. Alcohol dehydrates you and prevents your blood from absorbing oxygen correctly or something. that is why you get a headache. My friend used to have a job delivering oxygen tanks. If you breathe in pure oxygen your headache will go away almost immediately. it comes back in like 10 minutes though. Smoking more pot instead also prevents hangovers.

c-minded my mouth was numb anyway i diidnt taste it and the water made it easy to chew and swallow. you should try it sometime. once i tried to make the toast my slef and it didnt work i dropped the toast on the floor twice and broke a glass getting it out of the cabinet and gave up. then i laid down and puked.

Advil and water works well. Wake and bake is better, however if you have had a big night and you do that you feel better but consider your day shot for being productive as you will be in daze all day.

If you've been puking from alcohol poisoning and can't hold food down try a big old thing of V-8 juice(I know it sounds gross and haven't had it in years), but you'll get some nutrients in your system. I learned that my freshmen year of college a long time ago.

I was at a party the other night and some guy was going on about Alka Seltzer morning relief. I don't even know if it exist but he claims it got him through a month in Europe.

There are these pills you can get out here in Cali. at the bars and some liquor stores called "First Call"....they are gel caps filled with 50% Artichoke and 50% Sasparilla. You take 2 of these bad boys BEFORE you start drinking, drink till you cant stand anymore....you're golden in the morning. I live by these things. I also drink alot of water before bed too.

Kyle- I seen those pills and hear they work pretty well.

I think the key is to find that narrow line. I was walking it last night, drunk and yet not beligerent. It was great, no hangover. But Jack D and I always got along well.

One Star Hangover (*)

No pain. No real feeling of illness. You're able to function relatively
well. However, you are still parched. You can drink 5 sodas and still feel
this way. For some reason, you're craving a philly sub and steak fries.

Two Star Hangover (**)

No pain, but something is definitely amiss.
You may look okay but you have the mental capacity of a staple gun.
The coffee you are chugging is only increasing your rumbling gut,
which is still tossing around the fruity pancake from the 3:00 AM Waffle
House excursion. There is some definite havoc being wreaked upon your bowels.

Three Star Hangover (***)
Slight headache. Stomach feels crappy. You are definitely not
productive. Anytime a girl walks by you gag because her perfume reminds you of the
flavored schnapps shots your alcoholic friends dared you to drink.
Life would be better right now if you were home in your bed watching
Lucy reruns.
You've had 4 cups of coffee, a gallon of water, 3 iced teas and a diet
Coke -- yet you haven't peed once.

Four Star Hangover (****)
Life sucks. Your head is throbbing.
You can't speak too quickly or else you might puke.
Your boss has already lambasted you for being late
and has given you a lecture for reeking of booze.
You wore nice clothes, but that can't hide the fact
that you only shaved one side of your face.
(for the ladies, it looks like you put your make-up on while riding the
bumper cars.)
Your eyes look like one big red vein and even your hair hurts.
Your sphincter is in perpetual spasm, and the first of about five shits
you take during the day makes the eyes water of everyone who enters the bathroom.

Five Star Hangover, (*****)
You have a second heartbeat in your head,
which is actually annoying the employee who sits in the next cube.
Vodka vapor is seeping out of every pore and making you dizzy.
You still have toothpaste crust in the corners of your mouth from
brushing your teeth in an attempt to get the remnants of the poop fairy
out.
Your body has lost the ability to generate saliva so your tongue is
suffocating you.
You don't have the foggiest idea who the hell the stranger
was passed out in your bed this morning.
Any attempt to defecate results in a fire hose like discharge
of alcohol-scented fluid with a rare 'floater' thrown in.
The sole purpose of this 'floater' seems to be to splash the toilet
water all over your a$$.
Death sounds pretty good about right now....

ive had maybe one 3star and a couple 1 stars. I dont get hangovers very easily for some reason.

partyb is right about the oxygen. i was a lifeguard for a long time and we would live by it. we were required to have oxygen tanks at the state park i worked at and any lifeguard with a hangover would go take in some oxygen before their sit. it totally makes it go away.
not exactly helpful for anyone who does not have easy access to an oxygen tank though.

Jose is a good guy, if you are friends with him. Just don't make enemies with him. Alka-seltzer does work, I have tried it. I think the best cure s to just crack open another beer. It helps to balace things out.

I've found that when I wake up hung over, if I take a couple advil and some water then go back to bed for another couple hours, I wake up the second time feeling great.

So, if I'm drinking and know I'm going to be hung over then next day, I will set my alarm for something like 6 or 7 am, force myself to get up for 15 - 20 minutes, have my water and advil and then go back to sleep. For me, the trick is to set the alarm early enough so that I am still tired and can easily fall back asleep. It also only works if I sleep the second time. If I don't sleep the second time, the headache and shitty feeling lingers all day.

This weekend I think I might have to tryout some of those First Call pills Kyle mentioned.

I find if you drink a ton of water to flush the alocohol out of your system, then by the morning you have one huge p*ss and that will be that....any remaining cotton mouth or stomach cramps can be cured by ginger ale. Works wonders for me, I rarely get hung.

I heard on the news that if you take tylonol while drinking or after drinking it wrecks your liver alot more.And in some cases it has killed people.
