Anyone have any experience w/ U of P and their online courses? What'd you think? Would you recommend them? I've been wanting to go back to school and I'm thinkin' that online courses would fit me best. Also, $1300 for 3 credits...is that the going rate nowadays? Really, I don't know! I took a couple classes at a city college a couple of years ago, and it was like a hundred bucks. But then again, it was "just" a city college.

Thanks in advance.

I paid 1200 to get 3 credits from a summer internship. The only way to get cheaper rates is to go to a community college.

A buddy of mine started taking their online courses. They are accelerated courses, not condensed, and according to him they put a full semesters class in 5 weeks. he cant handle more than 1 class at a time working full time. He is on every evening, 5 days a week taking his course.

My dad received his bachelor's degree from U of P online last summer... same thing as said above, he could only do one class at a time and was on CONSTANTLY after work hours to maintain good grades... but totally worth it IMO... I'm going to start courses to get my Master's through their program in a few years... good luck Joe!

Hey Jumalian,
I just graduated from a school who use a "Pheonix" model, and I really liked it. My degree is accredited and real, and the 5 week classes are kind of nice. Keeps you movin, and focused. Just my $.02...and I really enjoy your vids! ("in eastern washington, it's raining @$$)... Laughing

$1300 for 3 credits??? that's hiway robbery!! 3 credits is about one class, right? that should cost you around $500-700 at most... then maybe some tech/comp fees.

have you considered looking at UW? you are a WA resident, right? check out these links

http://www.washington.edu/students/sfs/sao/tuition/
http://www.outreach.washington.edu/evedeg/

and just as a ref., here's the u of iowa's tuition fees broken down by credit hours (start on pg. 2)
http://www.uiowa.edu/registrar/fees/20033_Fees1.pdf

good luck with everything!
