Are there any exercises you can do off the water to help improve your wake boarding? Cause it uses all sorts of muscles and im sure being stronger in those muscles wouldn't hurt... _________________ Cool kids never have the time.

The only muscles that ever get tired for me are my biceps. So probably doing curls would help. But I've never worked out for wakeboarding, and I've never thought I couldn't do a trick because I wasn't strong enough. _________________ Do it to it Lars |

I find jumping on a trampoline helps keep you conditioned and toned. For your legs and abs anyways. _________________ -Randy

i have heard about using a trampoline for training for the flips and the like does that really help cause it seems it would be a different kind of pull on the flip being pulled be the boat rather than just jumping on a trampoline _________________ Cool kids never have the time.

I do push ups and sit ups every day, sometimes I lift. I do more on days that I don't get to ride. I used to run all the time. _________________ ...say goodbye |

I'm looking in to getting a trampoline. Is there any specific type of trampoline I should be looking for. Are there any actual wakeboard trampolines out there? How big does it need to be?, who are the best to buy from?, and should I get round or rectangular?
any help appreciated

katelin, most people I have talked to have said that the rectangle ones are the way to go ... but a 12' round one seems to be the most common though ... and there arent special ones for wakeboardin just your normal 200 dollar tramp will work good _________________ "Worrying is like a rocking chair ... gives you something to do but it doesnt get you any where" Van Wilder |

ya id go with the rectangle one unless youre on a tight budget, the get the normal 12' circle, but its aslo cool to have the net around it so you can wrestle and stuff like that more seriously and throw people without them flying off the tramp, while still doing enough damage _________________ La Jolla kicks a$$, its the best place in the world |

yea the net is a good idea ... I know of a few friends that have landed on the ground cause of an invert gone wrong .... one guy broke his ankle keepin him off the water for awhile ... so one of those nets would be a good investment for sure _________________ "Worrying is like a rocking chair ... gives you something to do but it doesnt get you any where" Van Wilder |

TRAMP, time..... specifically working on visualization. Just don't jump around and huck flips. Visualize the approach jump from the position you would be in if on the water try to make it as realistic as possible. if you land off balance you will crash on the water so work on the entire trick from start to finish and yes the landing counts as part of the entire trick. _________________ PEACE
