I was just wondering if anyone has been to one of the backyard tour stops before. If you have, was it that crowded and what did you do? _________________ "I knew those girls were pros, but don't tell Turtle, it'll break his heart." - Drama, Entourage |

Dude,
I would HIGHLY recommend going, but today is the last day in so cal. I went yesterday, it was a fluke cause I forgot all about it. I co-worker calls me and says there is some wakeboarding thing with some guy named Shaun in Elsi. I was riding on Canyon so we packed up and went down there. Jerry Nunn, Erik Ruck, Bisch and Shaun were pulling anyone who wanted to ride. Then, they all got into a softball game where anyone could play.
At the end of the day, which I missed cause of a dentist appointment , they piled everyone in the boats and the pros rode. A buddy of mine was in Nunn's boat and they were chasing Murray. Murray was taking request from the boats and did his KGB 5. My friend said it was the sickest thing he has ever seen. Then Nunn rode, then Ruck and they all just went out there and tore it up.
This is why I love pro wakeboarders. Here is four of the top riders in the sport, hanging with the locals, playing softball and just generally having a blast with everyone there. How many other sports does this happen? Only in the action sports arena, IMO. Props to those guys out there running the whole deal, in the brief time I was there, I had a blast. I will definately be there next year! |
