This is my main problem. I tend to land crouched down and right after I land, the handle is ripped away.
Does this mean my arm is too extended, too much slack.
Should I be landing with just a controlled knee flex, and not my butt all the way to the board?
thanks |

| keep your arms bent and pulling bakc a little so you can absorb the shock of the handle being pulled our hard |

A few things could be causing this problem, I have the same thing happen to me sometimes.
Edging too hard at the wake. I don't mean edging too hard in general, just as you leave the wake. This throws your feet forward and your shoulders back. Try coming off your edge just as you ride up the wake, this will put slack in the rope and straighten your body up.
Throwing the trick early. You may not be waiting until you have plenty of air before you start spinning, this throws you off axis and can land like that. Not pulling the handle enough. This will cause your arm to be extended out like that and make it hard to land.
Pulling the handle too much. Hard to imagine, but it happens. If you pull it too much, you throw your shoulders back, and with no tension to straighten you back up, onto your heels you go.
Try to spot the water as soon as you can, this will help you set up for the landing, extend your legs out some, don't straighten them, and absorb the shock. The landing should be no different than a normal wake jump. Basically, your butt should not drag in the water.
Hope that helps some.

| try a toeside 360, there alot easier to get the handle and if you wanted to you could land wrapped without even passing the handle. |

Followups
Tiffany- you mentioned spotting the landing-I cant picture that, should I be looking down? Or when I am rotating should I have my head up and looking at the horizon?
Wake 360- which way on the toeside 3, rotating toward the wake or away?
Phil- did you suggest approaching more crouched, before you get to the wake? |

Spot your landing basically means find the direction you want to be going. You don't want to find the exact spot you are going to land, just the general direction you want to be heading. Once you find the water, look out towards the water in front of you, where you will be going or the horizon. That will give you a sense of where you are in your rotation, and it will help complete your rotation.
Hope that makes a little more sense. Good luck.
