Yea thats right.I live on a private lake & some club member are making a motion to limit sacking on our lake. Its gotten real UGLY. ( I have been fighten them for 3 years) At this point Im looking for any help or ideas to beat these guys. Is there anyone out there that has had this at their lake, or maybe a friendly legal repersentive that might know how to guide a fellow rider in the right direction.... Sad

Find the head of the local mafia and offer your lifelong devotion to him if he gets rid of this guy permanently.JK. you have to get a petition going from everyone that lives on the lake front or around the are or in that private club. if you get a majority of the people there then they have to listen to u other wise u take his a** to court.

get a waverunner and trash his water every time he goes out to ski. then he will be more concerned with banning waverunners than ballast. or get an integrated ballast system and say you dont have any ballast.

He's going to have a real hard time getting the lake police out after you on a private lake... what's he going to do hire his own private patrol company?

They can pass any law or ordinance they want, enforcing it is an entirely different story.

I like the jet ski idea and the internal ballast system idea, what's he going to do start searching the compartments in your boat.

It would become my life long mission to make sure he never saw a thread of butter again.

PEACE

I live on a private lake and they tried to do the same thing. We went to some meetings and tried to get as much info about why they are trying to ban wake enhancing devices. Their biggest reason was erosion. So we got this old guy who has lived on the lake for 30 years come up with some old pics and proved that the shore line has not eroded at all in 30 years. The board of directors really didn't give a crap about the pics. What it came down to was they weren't able to enforce the rule so they didn't pass it. GOOD LUCK.

Some discretely placed lead will avoid the sacking issue.

As your friendly legal rep., if they are trying to pass a motion, that means there must be some sort of vote. I do not know what type of vote, community based or just the board. Nevertheless, Afro is on the right idea. You need to get your supporters to the meeting to either swing the vote or voice their opinion to the board. Iff, the motion is passed, I imagine it will be hard to enforce but those HOA's have a habit of just giving out notices and violations like it is nothing. Read the bylaws to find out the process for passing new rules is your first step.

If they're worried about their land eroding they should build a seawall. Their land shouldnt be your problem or concern.

Lead.... sprayed with rubberizer..... wrapped in the same color carpet as your boat = problem solved!!!

I can just imagine how confused your neighbors will be when you roll by, just throwing a title wave. "I swear I don't have any extra weight in my boat man.... It just comes this way!!!"

Well, I think im ready...we have come up with a formula to measure wake energy..so based on the amount of slalom skiiing compared to riding I can prove (or i hope) that not only wakeboard but also slalom wakes busting on a unprotected shore will eroded it self away.......jim

Why don't you just load up your boat with some hot chicks? Besides chicks dig wakeboarders! Laughing
