i am a little further along than you......i can do w2w....and in air 180's...suggest next doing surface 180's behind the boat....then ollies outside the wake..... and ride switch a little bit...you have to ride switch eventhough it sux at first..... they key, in my mind, is in your hands....to do a surface 180, concentrate on switching the hand you are pulling from...for examply, if you are goofy, your right hand is pulling you, so when you go to the 180, switch to your left hand.....in the beginning i practiced 180's behind the boat with 1 hand so i would not forget to physically switch the hands...think abt the pohysics of it...where the central pull is and the plane you want your body to be in when you finish the trick ...good luck _________________ rock out with your co@k out! |

you could also try a grab. i would try an indy (back hand to front of the board). easy way to add some style to your jumps. _________________ Chip i'm all jacked up on mountain dew!! |

Alright thanks, and does anyone have any advice on boardsliding (the wake) because when i do it, i have trouble turning my board to slide it ( my fins may be to big) and once im into it its real sketchy and never consistent, i eather ride away from it or slip out _________________ it puts the joe dirt in the whole |

| if you have big fins like mine then you probably have to jump on it like i do you have to ollie pretty hard to get up there and and put your weight about 60 percent on your hells. i cant stay on the lip for very long either only about 2 secs. |

maximum bob said it all, learn to w2w. then ollie, ride switch, surface 180's, butterslide. Build a solid foundation, then work toward more appealing stuff. _________________ go big or go home, otherwise you're wasting my time |

| try the 180's , and when ur on that side just go to the wake and do a butterslide i do it all the time, you might get some nice face plants, but it works with practice |

Or practice slides (sorry, I'm a newb - what's the difference between a butterslide and a boardslide? OK, then what's a lipslide? Powerslide? Hay-soos Marimba!) right when you get up. If you do the board-in-front-of-you start, once it surfaces, just lean back, toes up, and balance. Works great until your smart-a$$ friend decides he's gonna be funny and open up the throttle... _________________ "Practice, man, jus' practice" - Wynton Marsalis

I think you need to clear both wakes and then learn to ollie... after that you would start to do all the other tricks step by step...
