Hey guys is there anyone in your crew who just cannot bring the rope in with out causeing a major knot? We have this problem on our boat daily. It is so extreme that he is no longer allowed to reel in the rope. I won't give the name away. However, I would advise the Mission 2 Ride crew to not to allow the new commer to touch the rope |

Perhaps you should show the persone how.
Is he trying to wrap it on his arm?
Try taking longer loops adn dropping them on the pad or deck. One third of the rope in a pile so the next rider can take it out smoothly. _________________ I'm hung like Einstein,

We have a guy who comes out with us who I can't figure out for the life of me why he is EVER invited! Well, he is friends with the boat owner, but even the owner admits that he is worse than worthless on a boat. Does not help with stuff! No pulling the line in, no getting a board down or putting one up, no NOTHING! Seems like a nice enough guy, but damn! I guess he IS 200lbs of ballast.....and he doesn't ride, so he doesn't take time from me! |

About the only think I have an issue with is a friend who leaves the butts on the gunwhales. Put them in an empty can please! I don't mind the smoking, I do myself, but put them in an empty can or something. Don't want the tobacco stains in the carpet.
In his defense, he treats his boat the same way. _________________ I'm hung like Einstein,

Dude jt09 that's crazy. When did you do that? My wife grew up there. Entire family still there. Her parents now live in a very small town right outside of Bluffton, called poneto, that is small. The business district is a soda machine. They now have a walmart there so at least you can buy stuff. I just go to dairy queen everyday to keep me happy! _________________ Check out https://www.facebook.com/darcizzleoffshore |

I wrap it around my arm and I don't have problems with the tangles...but I've been wrapping up cors and lines that way for a while now and have gottne used to doing it without making knots.
What drives me f'n nuts is during rider changes, especially the slow ones, when none of the people on the boat take care of the line and it gets stuck under the boat. |

I have a guy who likes to take the wheel and drive (only when nobody is boarding), seems like it is always rough out and he thinks its freakin Miami Vice and goes wide open across the lake hitting every freakin wave out there (He doesn't drive anymore!) |

No, she made a specific comment on a public board to a specific audience.
We just decided to high jack the thread. _________________ I'm hung like Einstein,

what a ridiculous thing to say. the thread says 'does anyone...yada yada yada'. The fact that the people posting on this might not be on a first name basis with a particular 'crew' (naming your crew like that is a little lame IMO, but whatever, maybe I'm just pissed because my leather T-Birds jacket hasn't come in) doesn't mean the discussion is over anyone's head.
It's actually quite the opposite - the comments regarding the rope shite are right on. Obviously no one else knows or cares about this crew (on this post), therefore the specific par tof this thread is beneath everyone's head. |

That's a bit harsh tdes! The long timers on this board know that Mel is NAW's girlfriend. I thought she might be giving him some grief, but I don't know them well enough to comment on it. Also, they just had a big shindig up in the midwest that a bunch of people on this board attended so they might have got it as well. So yeah, it was over my head! I like Leggester's answer. |

no skoal or other dips on boat unless you have a designated spit cup that you discard of promptly and responsibly when finished. my friend had to clean up spit juice all down the side of his boat because someone else kept spitting skoal over the side.
no tacos or spaghetti either. _________________ yeah, that's probably going to leave a mark... |

conspiracy? like rope-knotting gnomes?
i don't think i'd let anyone dip or chaw or anything that involves a great deal of spitting. Sure, I'm a smoker myelf, but I draw the line at habits involving expunging copious amounts of saliva. whatever, though - no one I know does any of that. |

no offense TDES....but i think its kinda funny how youre a smoker and you say, "I draw the line at habits involving expunging copius amounts of saliva."
what about habits involving expunging copious toxins that not only pollute your own lungs but those orf everyone around you...
by the way...copious is an adjective...its impropper to say "copious amounts"

Good call Tyler. that's a hard phrase to word that way...the message got across though.
I don't really care about the toxins though. They're everywhere and I've gotten used to them (depend on them? lol). However, I'm just not a big fan of spitting and looking at big ol nasty gobs with brown shite on it. Maybe it's all the microorganisms in saliva (smoke is actually reasonably efficient at killing germs, so that angle won't work).
Besides, I don't know of any indoor lakes in the area. Then maybe I wouldn't light up. Being in MY OWN boat moving 20mph+ the case for second-hand smoke is very weak (I typically refrain on someone else's boat). Compared to my boat burning gas, a cigarette is small potatoes in terms of what it does to the overall environment.
