Folding Towers

Just got 2003 Mobius and was wondering how other boat's towers fold. I saw a picture in a mag of the Titan on the Malibu folded and it looked very slick. My freinds Roswell folds into the interior very nice as well. It's not a big deal but mine looks awkward thats all.

Stay away from the wakedesigns rat cages. We had one on our 2002 MB Sports B-52 and two of the welds broke on us.

I have a 2003 Mobius LSV Gravity Games and have to go under a bridge to exit the marina each time we use the boat. To lower the tower, just unscrew the back, then go to the front and grab one side of the tower and pull it down. The only thing you need to watch out for is scratching the side areas where the tower contacts the boat. I made factory-looking bumpers. If you want to see the design, let me know and I can email you a picture. Finally, the reason, I purchased a Moomba was because it had one of the lowest height towers once it is folded. I also had a 1999 for 3 years, that I had to fold and never had a problem. At least Moomba uses steel inserts for durability in their racks, where Mastercraft simple drills into the aluminum. :D

My Nautique flight control tower and it basically unscrews in the back and breaks over forward just above winshield height. The tower folds forward & rests on the grab bars in the bow area. Boat height with tower folded is just below 7' but built and 8' garage to accomodate just in case.
