dang b-rad. in utah, you have to stay 150 ft. away so that pretty much eliminates the problem. What i don't get though is the people in the cobalt were under 50 ft. away, so technically, shouldn't it be their fault? if the people were over 50 ft. away then i could see how your friend would be at fault.

Isn't that why you have an orange or red flag. It is supposed to tell other boats that there is a person or rope in the water. Just doesn't make sense how it could be your fault.

The lake we board on is a narrow lake with a lot of traffic and drunk boaters. Whenever anyone falls, we haul ass to put the boat in between our rider and traffic. Rocko about got blasted by a jetski last summer.

haha the funniest thing ive seen was actually us! a while back we were just headin out for the day absolutely bootin along and the river is kinda skinny and theres like 10meters of trees that bend outwards over the shore and anyway we are cruisin along and i go to turn the corner and oh whats that in my hand oh hey guys look what im waving around its the steering wheel!! so here we are flat out steering wheel in my lap and banks close coming up so i slow down but the prop turns us to the left and we go flying up into the trees haha and one guy was sittin on the front, i remember him going flying over my head diving into the back to avoid the trees and as we come to a halt there is 10 seconds of silence and then we absolutely piss ourselfs! Laughing needless to say there was no serious damage and i didnt really care cos my boat was only worth 3 grand haha funny stuff

Funniest thing I ever saw was a guy in a fishing type boat pulling his friend on one of our sliders. The guy driving decides he is too hot in his wetsuit so starts peeling it off while driving. Well, he gets one arm half way out and it gets stuck. so he starts driving with his knee and uses the other arm to free the first. Then that arm got stuck. He steered al long as he could with his knee, but as the suit got the wheel all wet, it began to slip until it finally whipped a hard right turn into the wooded bank. He went flying and the boat skipped up over him clearing his body but stopped inches away from the prop hitting his head! Nobody was hurt.

Hey Aubs,
I didn't hear about that. That's kind of freaky! Hey, are you an AXIS Boardsports girl? If not, you should go check them out. They rock! Have you ever been to the WICed Fest?

last year there was a group of mexican fellas on a glastron and they had it packed like a single cab truck headed to Wal-Mart. they had this one guy skiing and they were hauling a$$. it made John Candy in the great outdoors look like a chump.
They were going up and down the ski course and you have to make a very sharp turn to go up and down it. anyways they were going super fast when they turned and the guy on the skis gets sling-shot around the corner and flies up into the cat-tails around the course. he flew way back in there. It took him about 15 mins to get out. we just sat and watched him the whole time trying to get out. probably the funniest thing i have seen on the lake.

Ok whenever I get fatigued from boarding I go tubing and stuff and my dad messes with me (i.e. sharp speeding turns). So I gunned it around the turn when he was on and I didn't have the mirror on at the time moment and I hear every on the boat say "Ohhhh! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! Ahhhh!" From what I hear he bounced a couple feet in the air off the wake, came down, spun in the water, lost his trunks, and kept hanging on. We had to drive by to find his shorts. Thank god the water was cloudy. Laughing

hey Aubs! Good to hear you've hooked up with one of the best shops in the world! I assume you'll be at the WICed Fest again this year? Look for me, I'll ride with anyone anytime. I've actually got to give Rob a ring and get this thing rolling. We've been slacking a bit this year on it. If you were at the Luau party last year, I was the guy on top of the tiki hut taking pictures. Did you see the wedding party that showed up?

we didn't actually get to stay for the luau (parents are party poopers lol) but i hope that we get to come back. we usually ride at lilanolah so we're spoiled when it comes to calm water. but as long as its not too bad i'd love to go out riding with you guys. i rode with rob last year when the liquid force tour came around. they made a stop at lilanolah and it was the day before school started and i made my dad take the day off from work to bring me. i was the last one out there riding with rob and some other guy (cant remember his name) and after my session i was jumping off the boat at the boat ramp to get out of the water, i jumped right ontop of a rock and diced the bottom off my foot open. took a good enough chumk of skin out to have 12 stitches and walk around with crutches for the first 2 weeks of school. my friends are used to me being a klutz tho. but it was well worth it. if there's anything i can do to help you guys out let me know. even if its to come help set up or anything, im willing to help. i can almost guarantee u that you'll have a moomba (us) and 2 malibu's (both my uncles) parked there at the dock again.

sweet! Yeah, Lillinonah is a great spot We actually held the first WICed Fest there, but there's no amentities there (marina, gas, etc) and no real shoreline area (that we have access to anyway) to have people at while others are riding.

I love riding on that lake. I lived in Milford last summer and I'd do sunset sessions with Rob and his wife to the right of the bridge (at the landing your were talking about). We'd have such butter! The water always felt so soft. Plus, the AXIS Boat is just PHAT every year. I've got to get down to one of those clinics of these days. I went to a Double Up session a few years ago and used to hit the Charlie Patterson clinic when he'd come around (back in his Blindside days). Fun stuff!

oh thats sweet. we're supossed to actually bring out boat out for a "test run" as my dad calls it, which is basically the equivelent of me riding in a long wet-suit freezing my @ss off while everyone else in the boast just laughs that someone they're related too is stupid enuff to actually do this. so that'll be great. as a christmas present, my 2 cousins and i all got a certificate for a free lesson with rob, which will be a blast, as it is every year. my dad saw rob in subway last week and they were saying how they still haven't sold their tige from last year, but im sure someone wants to buy it. my dad told him if he lowered the price by about 20g's he'd buy it haha.

Hahaha! Yeah, I told Rob the same thing about the Tige. Told him he could even keep the AXIS stuff on it and I'd give him free publicity. He didn't buy into it too much.

Riding with Rob is always so cool. I even went out with him on a few lessons when he had some young kids and I was down visiting for the day. He called me a "Guest Instructor." It was actually a lot of fun.

Hmmmm, Rob in Subway. I think he and the rest of the AXIS crew keep that store alive and kicking.

haha dan. very true. well if we can get my dad's car started, we're going out riding today in long wet-suits. i think we'll be the first wakeboarders out there this year WOOHOO. its gunna be really chilly, but it'll be alotta fun im sure. when i start college in a couple years i would love to be able to work at a local board shop (depending on where i go to school) and maybe even teach. tho im not too great at boarding, i could still teach the beginners haha. I dont know how funny u guys will think this is but ill tell anyways.

Myself and two of my friends were bored during the evening. We were camping at the lake and it was closed for the night so we busted out a water balloon launcher. The thing can launch water balloons about 300 feet, so we decided to go out and wreak havoc on the camp grounds. We filled about 20 water balloons and we set out. 1st we hit some group of kids on some bikes who though they were the s**t. Then we hit about 3 or 4 different camp sites. We were about to go after this big family reunion thing until the park ranger saw us and we ran like hell. We didnt get caught, but it was the biggest adrenaline rush i've ever had.

Tell me what you think.
