Hey guys. I'm the one running LSF this year. Just wanted to jump on here and give a shout out to those that are plannin on coming this year. I think we got great time planned for everyone with lots of shredding and partying. Just like every wakeboarder wants. I hope everyone enjoys the event and that it is up to everyones expectations.
Its got a bit of a new flavor tho at a old local spot this year. We are doing the Cajun X Cables Kicker Comp at Moon Lake Marina instead of the double up comp. The house boats complained too much from getting rocked around. Also we are doing a sound off contest, bikini contest, and more all at the marina. We have a couple of live music acts all weekend such as the Jam Brass Band at the Encore Bar on Tower Drive.
Again, I hope to see everyone there for another awesome weekend of shredding! |

Looks like I'm gonna be there Saturday, at least.
Weather forecast isn't showing rain.
I'm ready to ride.

I won't be there this time.
Sorry guys, none of my crew was able to make it.
It was down to just me and my boat, and that's no fun.
The four hour drive and rising river with floating logs didn't help much either.
I was a couple miles into the trip when I realized it was over.
Parked the boat at the house and nailed the coffin shut.

It happened.....Turnout was pretty good considering this was the first time back in several years. 20-30 boats (2/3 wakeboard boats); it was hard to get an accurate count due to so many coming and going all day. Water conditions were fair. There was some debris, but not what I consider bad (of course I've been riding the Ouachita River for my whole life of 40 years so I've seen bad).
Kicker contest was won by Joel Barfield with a Hoochie glide.
I have no clue how the after parties went; did not go. IMO, when you're kids are old enough to go to the after parties, maybe, just maybe, it's time to start backing off the partying.
All in all, it was a great restart of Monroe LSF's. Looking forward to next year. I will start pushing now for an earlier notification for next year's event. _________________ www.krookedminds.com
