TheHebrewHammer, I agree with what said about helmets not providing that much, if any, help in a purely water-based fall. I simply wear one whenever I've tried a new trick multiple times and eaten it hard on so many occasions that the mental game starts messing with me. Then I strap on a helmet for a quick set just to help me get over the fear, knowing well that it really provides little or no benefit. There are too many variables involved to definitively say that a helmet will make things better or worse, but I would say that the impact is similar.

This thread is like a circle of randomness by the way. I'm just waiting for someone to argue that Powers might've benefited from the use of gloves and/or a helmet (possibly a pumpkin-looking one) in this video
