My 2011 Slingshot Newton w/ 2010 Ronix One Bindings.
My first flex board and I love it. Slingshot is making one heck of a product and I thought it was gonna be hard to top my 2010 Ronix Bill but they did

Thanks man. I lucked up finding that one. EvoGear had it in a 138 and that is literally the only one I could find in a 142. Can't wait to hit the lake.

be careful with that setup, my ronix's pulled the inserts ride out of my reflex 2 months ago after a little over a year of use. make sure the bindings are flush to the board
love the rasta graphics on that board though!

Why would you spend the extra money for such an expensive board, especially with the nova core, if you're going to be using it as a sitski? I don't mean to be rude. I'm just curious.

Well first, why do you say "especially the nova core" is there something wrong with that board?
I went to my local proshop with my old setup and told them I wanted a new one. Well after laying every board out on the floor I realized that my bolt pattern on my cage didnt line up to the newer style binding locations. Apparently they change from a 6" spacing to an 8" spacing. So the only boards that would fit were the SM Nova Core or the Marek.
Anything is better than my old Gator Militant 136.
Plus....I got it for a steal of a deal!

No no, there is nothing wrong with the nova core. I've heard nothing but great things about the Murray nova. It's just a lot more expensive than the bio core because it's some kind of lightweight material. I asked because I didn't think you'd notice the difference on a sitski. Most of the sitskiiers I've been out with don't bother getting new equipment for that reason. And now that I know your reasons, your choice makes total sense. Congrats on a killer setup!

| Grabbed the Harley setup this year. Really enjoying the board, really consistent with a nice straight up pop that surprisingly isn't jarring. Not super excited about the boots, considering jumping to the Shanes or the CT vantages.

What don't you like about them, may I ask?

They grip my feet a little funny in some places and float a bit in places I don't really like. I feel like I'm either about to fall out of them or locked in tighter than I prefer without much of a middle ground.
The store I bought them from didn't have the vantages or shanes in my size when I went to buy them and they told me to take the harley's and see if I liked them and in the mean time they'd order a set of shanes/vantages in my size just in case.
I'm sure a lot of it has to do with having wanted the other boots initially and the little quirks being magnified because of that to be honest.

| sparkysparks9, how does the Murray ride? I really want to check one out, you can definitely tell Nelson shaped it. It reminds me of a Double Up board I loved.

I know that feeling. It's almost unavoidable.
Also, I love the feel of my Harleys, but there is a considerable space between the heel of the boots and the surface of the board (heel lift). I don't understand why this is happening with brand new 2011 boots that are made to match this board. Any possible explanations?

Next to mine the 2010 Shane and One setup and the "sitski" set up are my favorites.
