Exactly what I was thinking. What makes that board so good? (Read, what are its characteristics?)

I got a doubleup soul series 135 w/Nice bayou bindings.

I used to have a hyperlite big kahuna, i bought it when i knew nothing about wakeboarding, and it was way too big for me, 151! (btw the hyperlit big kahuna was the first 6 fin board, not the lf trip)

Belmont 131 Split Bindings. I like the center fin out, it let's me spin on the surface easier, but I can't land my W2Ws yet with it out....

drvnmskt,

I've ridden the Hyperlite Fluid & would highly recommend that board for you. It's super stable & predictable, carves well (holds a good edge), & gives decent pop. It's an easy one to learn on but won't necessarily hold you back either. If you want some adjustable bindings, try either the Hyperlite Spins or Splits.

Sorry, but that isn't true. The LF Trip was introduced in October of 1999 and was the first twin tip, tri-fin design. Not that it really matters, but just had to chime in Wink

Lucy

Thanks for the lead on the board. My friend is having me demo some boards first. I'll see if I can demo the Hyperlite Fluid.

Whew- my board sounds huge now! I ride a Hyperlite Project 142 with 2002 Byerly bindings. It works out well for me and I want to try it without the fins to see how it rides. The Project is the board that Parks used to ride before he got his own board. I have several pics cut out of him on it to inspire me! If hes can do mad tricks on it so can I!

Hi. I was wondering how the women who have Divas like it? I'm in search of my first board and might buy one off of e-bay. And has anyone ever tried the Gator Mary Jane 136? I've been trying to find out if its a decent board.

Thanks

I got my board a couple years ago and its a Hyperlite 143, I got it so my brothers could use it too, but now I think I need a smaller one. I'm like 5-7, 125 what size board would you recommend? Will it be easier with a smaller board? Thanks!

wakechic,

Try a board in the mid 130s - that ought to be about right, but it's going to depend a lot on what you like. I ride a 136 - a lot of women ride down to 130, but some like big boards like yours. Also, try a couple different styles (progressive rocker vs. 3 stage, fins vs. finless, etc.) to see what's out there. Do you know what model you're riding now?

I ride an '02 Evo 134 w/ '03 Parks bindings. I LOVE my set up--i bought the board without ever trying it, and it just happens that it is perfect for me, and the parks bindings are just so soft and cushy they make my feet really happy!
