Cal Air,
C'mon dude. You're comparing this to a Cobalt? My previous statement you so kindly quoted was in reference to your disdain for anything Centurion wakewise, while commenting on the sick wake behind your friends Cobalt. Which I, in turn, thought interesting since you seem to have such a narrow idea of what could possibly produce a satisfactory wake. As I recall, you stated that Centurion couldn't possibly make a decent wake. I'm assuming, now that you're gushing over this Centurion, that you meant the Avalanche only. Am I right? Or are you confused? No, I don't work for Fineline. I do however, have an objective opinion. I know that any pro boarder could do his entire repertoir behind any WB boat out there. Including your rig. That amatuers constantly down other boats is a sore spot for me. I'm not here to rag on anyones boat. But I don't like to let unenlightened comments slip by without rebuttal. So chill out. Ride on. And when you grow up you can buy toys that are really cool. Like our friend with the 30 footer.

| The boat only has the engine trim, no tabs. It planes out ~17-20mph.

RanMan,
I was not comparing this boat to a cobalt. I was just using your previous comment where you basically stated that i/o's suck. This boat is an i/o and by using your rational about i/o's this boat would suck as well. My comments about the i/o originally came up when I was being nice and complimenting someone who is not fortuanate enough to have a full blown wakeboarding boat. I am sorry for being nice and stating my experiences behind an i/o which happend to be a 50K Cobalt.
As for this boat, yes it is very nice. As a whole I think that centurion has a large amount of unsatifiend owners after a few years. That doesn't stop me from giving someone a compliment on a cool boat.

That's a nice one. That is funny. I would be really cool mobbing that boat around on a lake with 55 miles of shoreline. It would be like being all dressed up with no place to go. That is if I could afford it, right?

Dude, Where do you boat? A round lake with 55 miles of shoreline is 17 miles across. Big enough for a 30 footer I'd say. Where do you want to go? Portugal? Here in Pittsburgh, with the largest number of registered boats, per capita, in the country, we are on the rivers. With a good arm you can almost throw a stone across the river in some places. That being said we've got Sonics, Fountains, Cruisers, all the big boats here. That 30 footer would fit in quite nicely, thank you.
BTW, don't quote me on things I never said. I never said I/O's suck. Look it up.
As for a large amount of unsatisfied owners, I think you are generalizing. There's a nearby thread with lots of happy Centurion owners, some with pre-1990 models. Finally, as for affording it: Hey, he who dies with the most (best) toys wins. That Tsumani has our friend nicely leading the pack on this site. Peace.

Actually the lake is made up of a bunch of narrow fingers and is probably no wider than a few hundred yards and no longer than 2-3 miles in any direction. Not so fun for a fast boat. Sorry but I am sure that this lake is not up to your standards.

You said, "Looks pretty good. Do you weight it? I have a friend that has a 24 ft Cobalt and the wake was pretty sick." Can you say credibility out the window?! I now realize why you have such a attitude about Calabria. You've obviously never seen a real WB boat and it's wake. You think that I/O ripple above is sick? Your friends 24' cobalt is sick? I think you don't understand the term 'sick' as used in slang terminology. Your above comment was directed at the wake photo of an unweighted I/O. Some would use the term sick, but not as a good thing
|
Keep in mind that I was just being nice to a fellow poster, but it Sounds to me like you have strong distaste for I/O's. Maybe I am not reading it correctly.

Are you saying now that this is the best wakeboarding boat owned by anyone one this site or the most expensive?

Texas,
I was out on lake Austin a couple of weeks ago and saw your boat, it is pretty impressive. I was wondering, how far out does the prop stick out when down? i havent wake surfed, but i hear it is no safe on outboards or i/o.

Alo,
There were some rumors that the Lake Austin Police were stopping people wakesurfing because of the safety issues associated with wakesurfing, we passed sever police and they didnt give us a hard time. Centurion heavily promotes the idea of wakesurfing with all of their boats, The Tsunami is a 30' boat with an I/O but the swin platform extends out about an additional 3 feet for that exact reason

Wonder why they did'nt put a crapper in the front? I think you could classify it as a second home and get some tax benefits
I LOVE THAT BEHIND AN H2 - New dream rig.
