Well, she could end up being your best friend AND lover.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I don't know, B-Rad, about them being different girls. I've heard people say they've seen Batman and Bruce Wayne in the same room at the same time but I still think they're the same person. Oh, and I think the relationship situation looks almost too problematic to go for it.

I agree with you Swass, I just think that if I were to lose the friendship part of the eqation then I would be losing more in the long run. I think to have a sucessful relationship you do have to have a strong friendship base. I'm just not sure if things ended up going sour that we would ever be friends again. I kind of have this tendency of being a complete ass if things end on a bad note and it usually kills all future friendship. F'ing chicks always making things harder than they should be.... I think you should tell her you want to go on a few dates and see how it goes, Then if you like her in that way go for. It would be great cause you already know her rents and you say she is cool. Good luck bro let us know what happens

Let me put it this way. She has already told you how she feels and you can't change that. And if it makes it weird being around her becasue she said those things, then it not meant to be. (but if things aren't weird, that's good) But what bothers me the MOST about it is this: If it's that hard for you to make up your mind, then it's not meant to be (and you will F@CK up what you have)

What do we know. Only you, truly know what you want and don't let peeps try and run your live (even though you asked us for our thoughts)

A couple thoughts, take them for what they're worth.

Bipolar. An over used excuse for bad behavior and not controlling you temper. Much like ADD was. Better see a doctor's form with that diagnosis.

If you have to ask the question, you already know the answer.

Listen to Phantom. Do not try and change someone. Help them, by all means, but stay out of a sexual relationship whilst doing so.

Last, but not least: If it's no strings attached sex, go for it. Nothing wrong with mutual appreciation.

It's defintely NOT no strings attached sex. I think she was just seeing how I reacted to the email as well as trying to gauge where I stand on the issue. I seriously think she has 4 personalities; this is one of them. Well, I have decided to not pursue anything with her. Basicaly for some of the same reasons I don't date co workers. We can continue to be friends and not have to worry about any pressure from dating. Thanks for all the advice.... seems all the young kids are saying go for it and the older folks say no-go. Kind of interesting that way. Good advice overall though.

Young 'ens are ruled more by the 'member'.

If you want MORE complications in your life, go for it. From the description, that is what will happen.

Whilst Swass may be right, and this may sound harsh, I'd go for a more well adjusted person rather than a schitzophrenic (sp).

Leggester is SO right.... I just turned down a SUPER hottie for a roommate. Why? Because I have been with her before, have dated several of her friends, and she knows a ton of other hotties. Her living with me would have been nothing but trouble... But 5 years ago? I would have packed her stuff and moved her in before "yes" even made it through her lips.

::sigh:: To only have the problems you have JT... haha

Hmm... Super hottie with friends I'd still move into my apt. Crazy chick friend I'd probably hook up with her. Why? I don't think it's the youth as much of it is a lack of concern for relationships and the consequences of them going bad. MAybe I'm a stupid college guy...

Girl's talk Phantom! I want anything from "nice" to "AMAZING/INCREDIBLE/UNBELIEVABLE!!!" to be what is said! You gotta use your head (big head) because bad words from a chick can KILL you! Especially in a small fishbowl like Austin!

I don't know, being bipolar is alright as long as you take the medication that the doctor prescribes. You should respond saying something along the lines that your not sure about what to do, and that you guys should just treat each other like normal. Then, say that you'll kick it up to the next level if you have the same feelings for her that she has for you.

Got it?

Phantom- Sharks are right... I've been chewed up and spit out before. I keep swimming though. Maybe when I feel like making the commitment again I'll swim in deeper water. For now I'll stay close to shore. hahaha metaphors are fun.

Boys, boys, boys~ May I suggest that you don't look for a serious relationship until you're at least 30?
You still have a lot to explore in your life and settling down right now just isn't in the cards for ya yet.
I'm gonna turn 39 on May 1st and I still don't see myself getting into any relationship. Subconsciously maybe I was too traumatized from my past relationships to even think about committing.
That's my answer and I'm sticking to it Wink

Gotta agree again Phantom! I know exactly why serious relationships don't work for me, so I am not going to push it. I date happily and stay friends with (almost) every girl I date, and sooner or later one will come along and be "the one".
