I just started this past weekend. Tried to get up with the board horizontal laying on my back. I had the same plowing water thing happen. I tried the "cheating way" as I called it and stood with my board completely under water like i was riding already. Kept my knees bend, and the pressure on my back foot. The board, as you would assume, just "rode up" out of the water. When i got up and was planing, i stood up and tried to even out the pressure between the front and back feet. This worked well for me. I might try the traditional way next weekend just so i can have soem variety. _________________ Life's short, Live it up, Wounds go away, embarassment doesn't! |

Well, went out again and I am getting ok at starting out...but then the boat broke Sounded like a large banging every time I took a curve or took the RPM's over about 800. I looked it up and asked some mechanics I knew and found out it is a universal joint problem. Now my buddy and i are going to attempt the repair in the next couple days. Any suggestions? _________________ Courage is not the lack of fear, but having fear and going in anyways- |
