I couldn't believe this sapporo post. Wow what a fool. Anyway, if you want all the info go to www.tritonsports.com/butterboards

Sold at Walmart? Triton conglomerate? That is laughable. We are one of two of the last wake factories that are not owned by Kent.

One on the reasons we took a DU shape is because we use them as skates back in the day. I don't know where you think wakeskating came from but it started when people would cut down wakeboards and either use FWT pads product sold through DU or grip tape em. When the shape came out we cut down the 133 and skate it.

It is obviously not a scaled down wakeboard. The site has all the info.

Ok kids, I got what you're looking for. I rode the Butter board, compliments of Keith Lidberg. For a compression-molded skate, I actually liked it more than Hyperlite's Catalyst, SBG, and Gate (I am used to riding wood decks). It didn't feel anything like those decks. Yes it had a bit of an angled nose and tail like the Gate, but not as much, which I liked. Surface tricks can be thrown a lot easier in my opinion, the board is pretty quick and snaps real nice. I always though of the Hyperlite comp.-molded decks to be rather sluggish when it came to ollies, shove-its, etc. The Butter deck weighs more as well, not as flimsy and light as Hyperlites. Sliding is no problem, either.

The only thing that Keith and I agreed on as far as what the board needs is that it may need to be a bit wider. Other than that, I enjoyed riding it.

Oh yea, and Sapporo, I'll be home in Ft. Lauderdale the week of X-Mas and the week after that. Not too far from Miami/Okinawa. I like sushi as well. Maybe we should hook up and ride:?:
