I don't know Kyle. Having someone piss on your Playstation is pretty bad. But I thought violating a man's car was unspeakable. The poor guy has been on the road non-stop. Told me thta he still smells a slight stench. I feel bad each time he reminds me...

I was doing a search for favorite beer and/or micorbrew and found this thread from a decade ago. I've been drinking a beer that I found when my wife and I visited Mendocino back in December called Scrimshaw brewed by North Coast Brewing Co. I'm by no means considered a beer connoisseur, especially micro-brews, but feel this is a very good tasting beer.

Wow, it'll be interesting to see the difference between now and 10 years ago. In that timespan there's been a huge explosion of microbrews.

Pretty much any IPA for me, I like a hoppy beer. Unless I'm out in the water, then its miller light, or any light beer.

ChrisG, Scrimshaw is solid. I'm a fan of North Coast's stuff. Old Rasputin and Pranqster are also good from them.

Raging Bitch from Flying Dog Brewery is awesome.

Almost everything I've had at the 21st Amendment brewpub is really good. What they can is good, too.

I've been brewing my own for over a year now. More effort and only costs slightly less, but tastes great and always makes for a good gift.

Faust, I did that for a while, don't really have the time anymore. My favorite batch was a green chili beer, sounds weird but it was awesome.

I've really been enjoying the treat of barrel aged brews lately. There are a few that I really like.

jgriffith, I agree on the light beer for a regular drinking beer...there are a few in the light category that are more of my regulars. I like the good craft beers as a treat.

chavez, IIRC, you have gluten issues, right? Does beer cause you problems? I noticed a brew one time that was made with sorghum and mentioned "gluten free"...kind of made me think beer can cause problems with people that have gluten issues.

Okie Boarder, I don't have gluten issues. The only problem beer causes me is a fat ass and a beer gut.

Okie Boarder, I have a few friends that are gluten free and none of them are big on the gluten free beer (it does taste different). Drinking regular beer can definitely cause issues, especially if it's an IPA or a Belgian.

Not sure if I ever posted in this thread, but assume if so, it was the same then as now. SN Pale Ale & ABC Anchor Steam. A local brewer, Epic, is coming out with some stuff I really like as well....but nothing has become a regular.

That said, I mostly drink Miller Lite and of as a treat, the Pilsener or Viennese from Bohemian Brewery(can get in a can, which is important).

E.J., cans are very much coming back in vogue these days. The local store has a shelf chock full of high-quality stuff all in cans (including SN Pale).

chavez, I noticed that too. Our local brewery (Cigar City) has started doing cans over the last 8 months or so. They're popping up everywhere.

Are there any decent non-alcoholic beers in cans? I don't really like to drink more than a couple-three real beers when I'm driving the boat (especially now that I have my son on board), but I really enjoy drinking beers when out on the water.

That is the problem I have.... Since the wife does not like to tow the boat, I usually cannot have beers on the water.... I use to push it a bit in my youth, but at my age.....responsibility has got the best of me. I have become the designated driver for the most part. I love the days I have friends with us that I can turn the keys & keypad over to....
