Dragon,
If your 'rents ARE millionaires then for sure you are driving daddy's boat. Ain't no way yer rich daddy gonna let you go in debt for a boat. Don't matter how many knobs you polish at that marina.
Nothing wrong with being 14 and driving daddy's boat. Be happy, just don't be an A$$. Cool

DRAGON88,
It is ok to be a mommas boy, don't worry about it. I would not be ashamed that your parents own your boat and not you. Just be glad you aren't stuck with an i/o bayliner like I was.

It was a page ago, and I'm still laughing at Ran-Man saying a Sport Nautique isn't a wakeboarding boat...

A Centurion isn't a wakeboard boat!

Calabrias look pretty cool, be good if they had 'em down here.

OK, J Robinson,
A sport is a WB Boat. A reawy good one, too. My fault. Oh, sure you have to put a tower on it. Oh, yeah, and since it doesn't have ballast you have to throw in a few fat sacks. Especially in the rear since it's not a v-drive. Oh, and if you add PP wakeboard pro, kickin' stereo, cool graphics, and a bimini for wicked hot days, then it's a WB boat. Sure, you have to stumble over fat sacs all day. And you have no place to put your skis, boards, fat sacs, vests, fenders, and ropes when you're done. Also, no place for your drinks and food during the day. (And pleeease, don't tell me about your cooler/glovebox, a CC joke perpetrated on all the CC owners) And when you're taking a break and floating you got no place to stretch out and bake. (Maybe you're a really little person and can stretch out on the engine cover.)
So sure, a sport is a really good WB boat. Yeah, I'll just hang out on my raggedy-a$$, soon to fall apart, inferior little scow. Oh, yeah, with all the stuffed bikinis that prefer a hot looking boat and room to move around. Wink

I must say that I rode behind two air nautiques and it was a waste of time. Even with the ballast I was disappointed. I think you would have to sack the crap out of it to make it any fun.The wake was so small all I could do was surface tricks. I must say that any riding is better than no riding but this was borderline.

Yea who can't, but there is a huge difference between a heavily weighted boat and a ski boat. It is like two different sports. Ride a non weighted boat like yours and ride behind my boat with 700lbs of purevert, a 1500lb seat and a 500 lb sack and tell me it's the same. Your technique better be a lot better with mine and I bet it will be ten times the fun unless the wake is so tall that YOU are afraid to cut outside of it.

i mean honestly who are you to say which boat is the best or the greatest, or even better than the next?!

are you a F-ing boat nazi??

so in the mean time i will sit in my horibly built CC and weep beacuse i know it will never be up to par whith calibrias. Sad

Hey I am not making fun like saying that you ride bad or look funny. I am just pointing out differences for the most part unless you get out of line. I understand though that it is not your fault that you are always in the Calabria Threads. The boats are dope and I know that deep down, you really want one. Just talk to your parents about it and if you need some help with it let me know.

This is a calabria thread. Obviously people on this thread will talk about calabria's and it doing so, will point out the differences in other boats. If you want to talk about how great your sport is, then be a "sport" and go to a cc thread. As for your questions, I only seem to be making fun of you, I was not born in Hitler Germany in the 30's and I own a calabria and that gives me the right to say my boat is better than yours. But hey that is based on my preferences and opinions, not yours.

I can't believe I've missed all this fun! Dragon, your boat is not horribly built. It is a great boat. But, it is a ski boat that can pull boarders also if properly weighted. Cal Air makes a great boat too. A great wakeboard boat. I confess I can't believe that '03 puts 2700 lbs in it. I have to try that sometime this summer and see what the wake does. I can imagine it just might get fearsome. So what tricks are you guys doing? Raley's? Inverts? If so you're better than me. I'm still working on a consistent 360 without eating river bottom mud. Cool

All those things are nice, but the one prerequisite(sp) for a WB boat is, surprising, having a good wake.

Therefore, Centurions can't possibly be wakeboarding boats, whilst the Sport/Air scrapes through nicely...

Hows that for simple (yet blindingly correct) reasoning...

On what are you basing that statement Mr. Robinson? Try to support your reply with more than opinion, if possible. Some of us on here ARE college educated.
Cool

I've already explained to you from where I base those statements.

How about I add a fact here then, for those who have a form of higher education:

An Air/Sport Nautique throws a better wake than a Centurion.

Hows that? Cool

Obviously not a scholar... Sounds like opinion to me. Which Centurion model are you talking about? What unique hull profile makes the dramatic difference you claim? What qualifies you as an authority on the subject? If you can't offer substantive discussion, don't bother to respond. Your opinion carries as much weight as the stock ballast on a Sport Nautique. Youch!
Cool

Yeah, its fun trust me! Usually I wouldn't go around making these claims, but I know no-one on is taking any of it seriously. It's boat wars for god's sake!

Great looking boat. Is it weighted in the bow-on pic? Low nose on that thing. Confused

No weight in that bow. It is a little bow heavy but it makes for less bow rise when you weight it down.
