we made the three hour drive, and got back a couple hours ago. i took as many pics as i could of all the wake stuff. It was definatly worth it. They toute it as one of the biggest in the country i think, over 1000 boats and 16 acres indoors.

Cool pics, thanks for sharing. Definitely some great looking boats. Interesting how the uber metallic paint is being used by a few manufacturers.

Thanks for the pics.

I am a little biased but I think Malibu has the best looking boats far and away. There is something wrong with all the other ones. They seem to have something that looks bad. Whether it's an ugly tower, graphics or interior they are like a wart. I also notice that everyone but MC has an Illusion type tower. Pretty crazy since everyone seemed to hate the Illusion back in 2005 when it came out.

so the question is Stang Killa - did you tow anything new home?

we hit up the Portland show yesterday - low key compared to yours - but well attended -

MC installed some Samson towers on a couple boats 63K for one of those
MB - 48K for the tomcat
Malibu - 59K for a wakesetter
Mobius - 47 & change/Outback33K
no Natiques at the show
Centurion & Supreme had a nice line-up as well

haha - as soon as i saw the thread title i knew this boat was going to be part of the thread. that's my buddy brian's boat. the plasma was just for the boat show to help out the guys who have done all his stereo and led work on his boats. if you are familiar w/ lake austin, this replaces the blue bu w/ the champagne bucket and fog machine. the leds look sick, imo.

I do not think the bimini is rated for 220oz of vodka.

The lights look awesome and it does look like fun. But, as often is the case, I find myself scratching my head wondering how this guy affords such a boat. There's almost as many bottles of lq on that bow rider as there are people.

Lot of nice boats in there man! It's so funny what the wakeboat industry has morphed into. People no longer drool over the size, shape and consistence of the wake or wave that the boat produces, but are more impressed by the aesthetics and creature comforts of the boat. I guess that's what happens when a sport goes mainstream. I remember back in the day when the XStar came out. The graphics on that boat were hideous, the tower was fugly, and the only people who wanted it were those who loved to ride.

Oh well, I wonder what's next? Air conditioned seats? A trash compactor? Built in refrigerators? I remember being excited when the slickboot option came out. What happened to that?

chatwake, you know me well, followed my A20 threads on the forum. you know ive been drooling over the axis and a20 for over 6month, even been in dealings with the dealership having one built for the 2011 season.

i spent a long time talking to Matt at the axis booth sitting in the A20 (trying not to stare at his black eye lol) he was so helpful.
i had been torn between a new LSV (moomba) and the A20. and i was definatly leaning towards the A20 if you have been watching my threads. but after seeing them side by side in person it was no contest. the moomba was by far the nicer and plusher boat. the carpets, plastics, and design being the biggest things. the axis looked and felt like a john boat compared to the moomba. and thats really hard for me to admit as in love with ive been with the axis the last year.
the moomba was also cheaper and 18" longer. while im sure the axis with PnP and wedge would have a 20% larger wake than the moomba. we have been so happy with the wake of our current LSV, hell weve never even filled the rear 1400lbs.

it was hard to admit, but i was really glad i got to do the same day side by side comparison. i awaiting final numbers from the dealership today to have them build me a '11 lsv to my specs.

STANG KILLA SS,

In fairness, you are comparing a 20'' boat to a much larger boat. A more accurate comparison to the moomba would have been an A22, sizewise. Apples and Oranges.

As to fit and finish. I respect your opinion. However, I also respectfully disagree. I've poked around in the 2011 moombas (my local bu dealership carries them) and I think the A22 is nicer, has cleaner lines, has a more solid feel (similar to my 230), and is more rider oriented. While I will admit that I have not ridden benind a new LSV, I have heard mixed reviews of the wake.

Everyone is entitled to their own likes and dislikes. Hopefully, you have found a boat that will fit your needs and satisfies your particular tastes. Not everyone is as picky about the wake as I am. I am interested in what other people who have had a chance to check out both the 2011 moombas and the 2011 Axis boats have to say.

I am also surprised that the LSV was cheaper...

STANG KILLA SS, Matt taco'd a rail with his face at the park at Ober; hence the black eye. haha. I'll pass on your comments to him.
