Picked this up, beat it on easy in 2 nights taking turns with the wife. Cool game, like the wireless controller. Needs alot more songs.

Anyone else?

I beat it on medium and easy on sunday. I'm pretty disappointed that you can't do co-op campaign over xbox live. There are 4 or 5 songs in co-op that aren't in the single player career mode and they will eventually be releasing downloadable songs.

i like this one much better than guitar hero II . the songs are a lot better imo. I only have 4 songs to go on expert,

Just got it last night. Anyone else having problems with the wireless controller? At first not all the buttons were recognizing, now it still doesn't hit all the notes. I miss some obvious ones that I know I hit, and on one song I failed it miserably then tried it on the old wired controller and passed it staying in the green the whole way through. I think I am going to take it back and exchange. Evil or Very Mad

A lot of people are having wireless controller problems. A lot of them fit really loose where the neck connects to the rest of the guitar. It seems that causes connection problems and the buttons fail to function properly. Mine works fine, so I guess I got lucky. Some of the early explorer controllers had problems as well.

ok, so maybe i'm glad i missed out on the new controller.

on one of my explorer controllers, the little safety detach cord or whatever that has the usb cord... it isn't working very well. i know it's just that little cord, because i switched it with my other controller, and now that one doesn't work very well. it's hard to get the console to see the controller. i have to jiggle the cord a lot and make sure not to touch it once it connects.

The new controller feels a lot more solid than the explorer. The rock band controller is supposed to be much better than both, but it is not supposed to work with guitar hero games.

Yeah, that was pretty kickass. I loved when stans dad pulled out the guitar and played "Carry On My Wayward Son" and they all made fun of him. Laughing

I'm playing through on hard right now and stuck on a couple songs. "3's and 7's" is my favorite song right now so I was really looking forward to playing it on GH3. Now that I am on that set I can barely make it through the intro... that **** is HARD! Also not getting through the Muse song on that set. Just unlocked it last night so I'll have to get some practice in or something.

JRW160, I heard the GH controllers will work with Rock Band, I wonder why the RB controller wouldn't work on GH... I could see maybe the extra solo buttons wouldn't work right.
What would kick ass is if the mic worked for GH3!

Well sadly enough I have beat all of career mode on expert. I think the dragonforce song is actually harder than jordan on expert, but thats just opinion. The dragonforce song is SO long, which is why i say it is harder.

this game is a lot better than guitar hero II.i didnt like the second one but after playing this at a friends house.....i love it.i still have to get it though so that sucks

Im addicted to this game! Got it last sunday (never had I or II), beat it on easy, beat medium yesterday and now Im on hard. Love it.

Quick question...my blue button is kind of sticky. Really irritating me. Can you take the key off and clean it/whatever is underneath it? How do I do this?

+1, I never had I or II, but I picked the GH3 bundle for PS2 right before New Year's. I'm on my second wireless guitar (first one had the same problems with the loose connection). I've beaten the easy and am halfway through the medium. Tried one song on Hard just to see how hard it was-the orange button destroyed me.

I have zero musical talent, so I was pretty pleased to beat all of the easy in a few weeks' time. Metallica's "One" and Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover" are two of my favorite songs all-time, so I was pretty pleased to see they made the list. I already want I, II, and Rock the 80's just so I can have more songs to play.

Does I have Co-op mode or is it only one player? If I understand right, they have co-op on II and Rock the 80's.

Anyone know how to download the additional songs? Are they available yet? Are they only for Xbox or PS3 or can I get them on PS2 also?

I've 5 starred all the medium songs, but at a certain point on hard, I just give up. The same thing happened in gh2. I made it through 4 or 5 tiers on hard, but at a certain point it just seems impossible, so I don't even bother.

Co op is available on gh3. It makes it a lot of fun. You'll need 2 guitars or someone will have to use a controller.

I don't think downloadable content is available for ps2.

Thanks. I think my question above sounded a little retarded when I re-read it. What I was asking is does GH1 have co-op mode? I have 2 guitars and love to play it on GH3-was just wondering how far back that feature goes on the games. I know it is on Rock the 80's, and am pretty sure I saw that it was on GH2.

my wife is just about finished with medium. she enjoyes it and is pretty good at it. kinda funny watch her try and play some of the alternative songs-dead kennedys and such when she hasn't ever heard of them. kinda makes me feel old when I can remember being in high school listening to the dead kennedys when they were "popular"..

anyways.. I suck at it. give me bowling on the wii... Smile
