We love ours, I highly recommend GameFly. Netflix for console games.

We still can't figure out to get our Miis to go on parade and mingle.

I'm online with mine but have no idea what our info is.

Rhawn, we have a GamezNflix account so I will be getting games here and there.

We are pretty stoked with Wii Sports and WiiPlay right now.

Is online play available yet?

You can save your Miis to your Wiimote and load them on other people's Wiis.

J-Ro, search for what? I didn't need your old ass info! But I will borrow your shiz! Laughing

Wakebrad, that, and you can use the WiiConnect to let your Miis migrate to your other Wiis that you allow them to.

And no, online play isn't available yet that I know of.

Wakebrad, you have to get the ## of your friend's Wiis. It will only allow mingling with those machines.

Dragonlady8, doesn't sound like it unfortunately.

http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/cookingmamacookoff/review.html?sid=6168022

Although after reading what the premise is, it sounds like it could be fun. I was never sure what was involved. Trauma Center is supposed to be pretty good though.

Hrrmmmmm, yeaahhh, I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with ya there. Which of the 3 PS3 games do you think is better? Laughing Laughing

GTA for the PS3 does look awesome, but that only makes 4 games Sad

Just played Mario Party for the Wii last night. Man that's a fun game. The new controls make it a lot more fun than on the older systems. Of course it didn't hurt that I won like all of the mini-games Mr. Green

I've seen a lot of articles about the Wii and Nintendo but this is the best so far....

http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/2007/06/11/100083454/index.htm?postversion=2007053110

Quote:

It's not unusual for a new game console to sell out during its pre-Christmas introduction, only to see sales dwindle come January. But six months after the Wii's launch, sales are accelerating. Nintendo sold 360,000 boxes in the U.S. in April, 100,000 more than in March. That's two Wiis for every Xbox 360 and four for every PlayStation3.

Quote:

While Sony (Charts) and Microsoft (Charts, Fortune 500) lose money on hardware in hopes of seeding the market with their consoles, analysts say Nintendo makes about $50 on every unit. It may not sound like much, but the company plans to sell 35 million of these things over the next few years. That's $1.75 billion in potential profit.

PS2 is still outselling PS3, Wii is second to the 360, but only because of the limited availability.

Rhawn, PS3 is so damn expensive. They moved up 50 bucks since they came out. I liked resistance and F1. Some of the Wii games are fun, but I still like PS3 better.

Why? Is it just because you payed 3 times as much for your PS3 as you would have for a wii and now need to justify it? Is it because you like the WHOPPING selection of games out for the PS3? I'm seriously interested in knowing why. I don't own any console, but I have considered buying a wii. It doesn't even seem like a competition to me.

Seriously, how is Sony still in business? They suck at EVERYTHING they do. BetaMax, minidisc, the invasive software they hid on their music CDs, PSP, now the PS3, and time will tell about BluRay. But if it follows their track record at all, it'll flop as well.

Shouldn't Sony be bankrupt by now?

Tyler T, Sony owns so much of the media we use everyday, it's scary.

They are going to lose the BlueRay/HDDVD battle too. Betamax, part deux.

Anyone else notice that HDDVD player is now down to $299? Best price for a Blueray player outside of PS3 = 799 after some rebates. Ghey.

Rhawn, is that in the U.S.?

Because I remember hearing that even the DS was outselling the Xbox 360 in Japan. Laughing

Tyler T, Sony is also losing out on hot game titles that used to be Playstation only (i.e. Guitar Hero, Final Fantasy, etc.), so I don't see a good future for Sony.

A HS friend of mine works for Sony - playstation department in san diego. He was giving me all the pros to owning a PS3 other than gaming. But that's what I have my laptop for.
Anyhow, he's finally sending me all the PS2 games and extra accessories that are lying around his office.
At least he wasn't negative when I made a comment about wanting a Wii due to it's price difference and the best thing he said to me:
"If you need anything else that's Sony related just let me know. It won't there immediately but I'll get it to you." Mr. Green

for those wondering how to get the Mii's on other friends machines and parade, you first need to get your Wii console number - it is in the system settings.

After you have that, give that to your friends, and get theirs. Then once you have theirs you can add them into your address book for messages.

Once you both have each other in the address book - you can send a message to the other person with the Mii attached. It is pretty easy to do

Here is a blurb from a wii support forum on how to do it:
First of all you need to find your Wii code, to find this click on the envelope on the bottom left of your main menu. Then go to address book, left click on the address book to go to the front cover, that is where your Wii number is displayed. Give this number to a friend with a Wii and ask them for their number. Both of you , register each others Wii number in your address book, wait for a few hours and you will be able to send and receive Mii's and messages. If you dont know anyone with a Wii, you can add a friends e-mail address and they will receive an e-mail telling them a Wii user wants to make contact, all they have to do is reply to the message and you will then be able to message each other. (but you cant send Mii's to a pc) If sending Mii's to another Wii user make sure you check that the Mii's are set to travel in the option available in the Mii parade.

Oh - and by the way - the Wii kicks serious butt....AND video games RULE!!!

My # is 6709 8582 0507 7370

Forewarning, my kids love making very odd looking Miis. Lots of chicks will beards, etc.
