anyone that remembers Tony Hawk's pro Skater for nintendo 64 remembers the infamous "Christ Air" by rune glifberg. it was imo one of the sickest trick's in skateboarding when fully extended.
do you think that in the near future this trick would be possible perhaps off a doubleup?
here's a pic i found, even though it's a weird angle.

| I can almost guarantee that soneone will be able to do that, off of a big kicker or something I don't know about off of a wake. You would really have to launch off of the wake hah.

not really...i mean a raley is both hands while a christ air would be sideways to the boat...this is jsut what i am thinking, to get the "christ" action happeneing with your arms spread eagle. but i dont know a ralley is more of a laid out airwalk with your board in your hand.

HatzicMotive140, its never been done who says it would be sideways to the boat there is more than one way to think of the trick since it has not been tried on water. If somebody does it we will see which way they do it. think how hard it would be to go sideways like you are saying. the only difference would be which way your lead hand is pointing.

| at work tomorrow when i get bored i will try to compile a few microsoft paint drawings and get someone (or myself if i find a prog) to convert them into a .gif to show the thoughts of how one of these would be pulled off (no i'm not a good wakeskater, i just do it for fun when my feet hurt from bindings, but like i said i imagine it would go like)

| I'm having a hard time believing someone is gonna be able to pull a Christ Air on a wakeskate. You're basically having to catch the board with one hand, extend it out, then throw it back under you. It's not only difficult to time properly, with a wakeskate you're gonna hafta be pretty ripped to muscle that thing around like that.

I know..as far fetched as it seems though, i think that someone might come close to landing it, if not land it. I think i might try wakeskating and go w2w then just start practicing this trick..if i dont win tourneys with it, at least i'll win best trick (dreaming)

There was a group of guys shooting video at TSR sometime ago and they would do a trick similar to a Christ air or Raley where they would pop off the kciker and pop the board into their hand and extend into a raley and then do like an acid drop when they were coming down.

| it doesnt seem that bad to me. nose(maybe a lame melan) grab it hs, pull it up and then throw it under your feet. the wind should help a little in getting it from in front of you to under you.

oh Im sorry I thought "By" implied "credit for" like for example if you wrote a book called "How to be an uptight net-tard. . . "by" FunkmaztafoX" one might assume you were reciveing credit for such work pull the bug out your butt and realize I wasnt calling your lame ass out, but I was making sure a skateboard legend got his due credit. . . . . . .since you failed that one

| in the game, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (which was my reference) the trick is "by" Rune Glifberg. you dont see anyone else in the game perform it. i'm sure that if the original inventor of the christ air was in that game it would've been him doing the trick. i dont care to know his name if you haven't figured out by now otherwise i would've done more research on it too, and maybe looked on a website, maybe one along the lines of "act like i knew every detail about the christ air and the skater that invented it" "by" Kento911. It's called using a point of reference and I did so unmistakably. you stand corrected.

i've seen a video of mike vallelly (sp?) throwing a christ air off a small kicker on a skateboard. he only holds it out for a split second and it is really quick on a small jump, similar to a wake jump on a wakeskate. i don't see why it couldn't happen, even in the next few months/year.
