Ok peeps listen up, hopefully you understand my frusteration. Heres the deal...My girl just bought a new 2002 X-10. This weekend her and myself along with my boys were gonna hit the lake on Sunday. Well she wants me to go with her and all her girlfriends. HEY HEY, what could be better than riding around in a new X-10 with a bunch of hot chicks??? So I told her that I was definately down, (what guy wouldnt go...???). Then came the catch, "Can we bring the old tube, so the girls can ride in it? They all said they want to tube, and they dont know how to wakeboard." WTF!!! A TUBE??? I thought to myself you gotta be kidding me! So now I picture myself and like 10 girls pimping up and down the lake in a brand new MC and pulling a tube........GREAT.........Any ideas guys???

Even though it's not his boat, I can see the frustration, of seeing a mastercraft x-10 being used to pull people on tubes. I'd do my best to get them to learn wakeboarding. Tell them how much fun they will have doing it and the endless possibilities of the sport. Hey, you wouldn't be lieing.

You're frustrated??? What's wrong with you?!? At least the water's warm enough there to even go out in a boat. And to go for free in a boat filled with hot women, and yet be upset, I just don't get it. Tubing can be fun also.

as long as you have hot chicks in the boat no one will hate on you.
we take a tube with us when chicks go. its not a big deal to me. if it was all guys i can see a prob with it.

when we ride in the summer we get a lot of girls that want to go. They don't know how to wakeboard but they want to tube. so I don't care because hot chicks on your boat are the best things to have on the boat.

Your frustrated!? I have a brand new SANTE sitting on the dealer's lot for a week now and I can't even take it out because I have no fricken trailer!!! Mad

Even worse, I can't get anyone to tell me when it's gonna be here so that I can take my boat out.

I dunno, tease them saying they are boring girls who won't try anything new? I'd say just go out there, have fun and represent our sport the way it needs to be represented, just keep the biggest smile on knowing that you're like the only guy wakeboarding in a wakeboard boat full of girls Wink

That's the easy part ATX, Let 'em tube for awhile, then get out and show them the board. There'll probably be a couple that will want to try it.

I would rather bring the tube than spend countless hours with a bunch of girls who wave never ridden, plan a teaching for for a couple only on another day....or you'll regret having that many new riders.....boats are for fun, no matter what method the person behind it perfers....?.....right, try not to be so serious about the wakeboarding only thing.....life is too short....as long as they are pitching in the gas $$$....let the girls have fun.....use the tube to get shop up close shots.....what is the big deal? are you worried about what others boarders think?

We take the tube when we take girls. None of them want to ride it after they see how hard the first person eats it. It's fun though. Try towing them through a triple up or just go about 30 and keeping turning the same direction until they cant hold on anymore and cartwheel across the water. If that doesn't get them then you may have to make a hard turn one way to get some slack in the line and go back the other way to give them a little whiplash.

Caution: all of these can result in a boat full of pissed off girls.

What lake are you going out on? If it's Lake Austin, you could go up by the dam for the first "tubing session." Then maybe the 55 degree water will make them not want to tube anymore?

If you put in at 360 take a left (towards emma long) and once you get past the stiener ranch put in it will get dramaticlly colder by the second. You can go pretty far up that way, and it does get really cold. I also like the turning idea, THEN you should toss them into a d-up. I think that will get them good. We rode by the damn at Travis on Monday and it was freaking cold! Huge difference 15' makes when you fall.

Yeah, by Lake Travis. You can go pretty far up there. For anyone who doesn't know, Lake Austin is fed through somewhere in the middle of 278-foot Mansfield Dam so even though Lake Travis, above it, has a surface temp of 65 degrees, the water going into Lake Austin is more like 55 degrees.

So the damn other than the one by hula hut is it the same one that you cross on 620? How long of a boat drive is it to that damn say if you put in at 360?

It's about a 15-20 minute ride. You could board the whole way and then get "tired" when you get a little farther past steiner ranch. That would set it up perfect for the cold water. It's about 10 min from the steiner ramp, if you know where that is. And yes, it is the same one you can see from 620 and mansfield.

I'll be out on Sunday for sure on Travis. I'm not sure about Saturday, I might be up N of the perd in spice wood. A friend of mine has a lake house up there and since hardley anyone knows where it is the water is glass 24x7. Sunday I should be out the whole day with my friends in and around VIP marina, sandy creek and cypress creek. I usually don't go to lake Austin that much, maybe a handfull of times a year. If you guess decide to come to Travis instead give us a holler. There is some sort of huge party going on Sunday afternoon on Travis. We will be in a white and blue Tige with a white tower.

u better watch out with what u say atx.. the chicks just might impress u. one of them may have gone boarding before and might be able to convince the rest of them to try it. just let them relax and have a good-time. you remind me of my dad in the sense that last year i brought out like 6 of my girl-friends out on the boat for a day and my dad was stuck driving most of the time - and all we practically did was tube. my dad & i boarded eventually and i tought 2 of them to board too. but he beat the hell out of us tubing too. we came out with bloody noses, bruises and a most importantly - we didn't break any nails! Wink
