Any track runners out there? if so, what do you run and what are your times? I do the 1600, and got a 4:54.03 on my first meet of the year.

4:54 is pretty quick. I wasn't much of a runner but I ran track my frosh/soph years of HS. Best 1600 time was a 5:05. I ran a 5 mile in the 27's once. I haven't really ran since then. Just swim now.

Leggester, that's a quick 200m. I used to run the 800 relay and my split was in the high 19's, but my one and only open-200 was 20.5ish.

ahhh, glory days!! 110HH I ran in 14.6, triple jumped in the 46's....

Damn good FnB! You may not remember Moses, but my brother ran HH against him in college. He said Moses made him feel like he was standing still.

Yesterday at the meet a guy ran the 400 in 47:68!

No he wasn't from my team. He's # 1 in the state by almost a whole second. But we have a guy that runs a 49 too.

I ran in HS back in '96, 800, mile, and Cross Country. Best time for 800 was 1:55, mile 4:27, and Cross Country 5K 15:36. I was going to run in college, but an injury sidelined me for good, too bad, just wakeboard and snow ski now.

I ran in HS. Went to the state meet in Waco, Tx one year and ran some warm-ups with Micheal Johnson at the Vaylor track. Talk about feeling SLOW!!

Beat the state record in triple jump (FNB, I thought I was the only one who competed in that!) just to watch the guy behind me beat my record in his last jump. Mad

Man, these all seem like cross-country type races. I'm a freshman sprinter and I do the 100 in 12.3 or so and the 200 in 24.9

I'm thinking about doing hurdles next year, is it pretty much the same thing as sprinting except you gotta jump every once in a while?

Does it hurt when you knock a hurdle over? I always wondered about that.

10 in the 100???? Isn't the world record like 9 or something?

Anyways I suck at anything over the 200. I did 100, 4x100, 200, 4x200, long jump, high jump, shot put, and disc. I don't really remember any numbers but I consistantly ran the 40 in 4.4, long jump was 20 feet and x inches, and I think we still hold the state record for relay in 4x100 and 4x200 high school.

Either you're kidding or the timer guy was horrible. You didn't get a 10, no possible way, especially in eighth grade.

I know, the word record is 9.87 or something. Maybe you did 100 yards in the 10 area. That translates to about 90 meters or so. That seems like a much more reasonable time.

Depends on how you knock it over. If you hit it w/ the bottom of your foot. then no. But if you hit it w/ your ankle like I always do. or your knee then hell ya. Every one of our hurdlers at our school has either scars on their knees or ankles. My ankle has bunch of little things that move around in it when you press on it. It's pretty gross
