Can you guys post any vlx pics you have. I'm trying to narrow down the color scheme and would like to see what's out there. right now I'm leaning towards the red and black with the boss billet, I think I have seen that posted before. thanks in advance guys

I was just wondering where you are getting it from and at what price. I just ordered mine today here in Central Cali (Escalon). I am going with white hull and deck with Charcoal (the color of my rig) as my secondary stripe and yellow as my primary with a yellow skylon tower. I am getting mine for 48k out the door with these options:
3 port heater
Fiberglass deck
cd player and 6 infinity speakers (I am doing the amps, sub and tower speakers my self)
shower
striped bimini
wakeboard pro
bolster
wedge
2 sets of pull up cleats
and Sunbrella cover
P.S. The anticipation is killing me

You should be able to get the Boss Billet tower for roughly the same price. I would definately look into it.

Forwakin, we have'nt sat down with a dealer for pricing yet, have to work out some financial things first. We will probably from Ultimate water sports in san jose.

The black on black is sick, but seems kinda hot. Just a thought, the guys from utimate water sports seemed pushy at the pleasonton show. The guys at Boat Country in Escalon were super cool and even beat Unlimited's "Show Price" (Watch there option pricing closely) The salesman took me to the owners house to show me his sick VLX and we are going out on it this weekend. If you do happen to try them ask for Brent and tell em Chad sent you. My final order changed a bit, it'll be here in April (Dying in anticipation) e-mail me if you want to know any more.

The guy I spoke with at the show was pretty mellow, but his store is not local to me. I noticed at the show that if you knew what you were talking about the salesmen generally back off a little, that being said, all salesman are pushy.

I wish I had a pic of the all yellow one form the nor-cal boat show, the trailor had three axle's and was sittin on 20's(I know its pointless but still looked sick).
guy's I would rather you posted a pic instead of adding a link, I would like to see any and all vlx's on this page so I can easily compare them. that a nice boat Wkerat

do NOT get it on black. Although it looks insane, once its been in the sun for 5 minutes touching it will burn you sooooooo bad.

The Titan tower is so ugly! It blocked my view so much on the test drive that it became seriously frustrating. It breaks down easier-but the lines do not flow well with the boat and it looks homemade. Most, smaller people will have to stand in the seats to get the boards down too! I test drove a VLX with the Illusion tower about 2 weeks ago and I noticed it had a serious problem with the rope getting caught up in the board racks/boards. I mean every time we turned around!

Get the Black on Black with the black vinyl rubrail. That way it will look seamless.

i havent had any experience with any of malibu's towers but the swoop tower looks pimpass. i would get it on a malibu.

I was in an all blue boat and is sucked. Super hot, can only imagine what black would be like. Just remember that black waterspots terribly! The Swoop tower is the only way to go. Super sturdy and lots of otpions. Check out the new Skylon tower speaker line. I am about to order a new 2003 VLX in the next couple of weeks. My friend just ordered one in Black and Blue. I did see an all red hull and an all blue hull at the dealer. They were pretty cool. I will see about taking some pics when I am out there next.

You guys should see the black VLX in person! It looks incredible. I would never own one though for the reasons mentioned above.

Just for future reference, there are a ton of VLX pics in the online galleries of MBO (that's where most of the above pictures came from).
