we used the pink insulation foam from home depot it is kinda pricey but it's so durable i say it's worth it |

go to a local car wash for some reason they have 55 gallon drums and might be willing to give them away. if you desprate search online you can order 55gal cans. they seem to work well. just a word on foam/insulation iventually it'll break and little the water and i had a friend almost get a fine for it so unless its a private lake go with the cans |

u could always try those old oragne life jackets they'll fit anywhere and most ppl just don't want them if u go ask them about it...other than that i'm out of ideas |

large drink coolers. like the ones you would take to the beach seal them with tape, most likly find old ones at thrift or second hand stores. |

floating dock floaters r more than the pink foam...a lot more....i like the drink cooler idea...very original i'd try that cuz they're probably easy to find for almost nothing |

if your really desperate for coustom sizes look up platic water tanks for boats alot like blast tanks, they will come in every size and shape imaginable but won't be cheap, comparitive to buying dock floaters |
