I got a chance to ride my friends LF Custom 4'10" this weekend for the first time. Id been really anxious to ride it, its been hyped up a lot and I was sold. Ill be honest, I was kind of dissapointed. The wake I was riding wasnt quite dialed so that may have affected the ride but I found it to feel very small. I rode a Coex 4'4" the day before and It felt just as big as the 4'10" custom. When I say it felt small, as in it wasnt very buoyant and felt short...kind of like riding a wakeboard thats too small. Just didnt feel like it could handle my weight adequately. Along those lines, the Custom buried the nose pretty easily, partly because I had to put my weight really far forward to catch the wave (Probably mostly due to the wave, but the board likely had some influence). It did manuever pretty quickly edge to edge. With the fin in, it was medium loose. A medium carve or pumping broke it loose. Ill revise the review if necessary after I ride it on a dialed in wake. |
