That clip's pretty old, I haven't seen it for a while. Funny thing is, as close as he got, a clean kickflip has yet to be documented. A LOT of surfers are anti-trick and don't like things like chop hops or pop shuvits. Skateboarding met similar resistance when Rodney Mullen and Tony Hawk started introducing technical tricks over the flow/slash style. I have to imagine surfing will eventually redefine its standards, as far as boardsports go they're dead last in terms of progression. |

Jester, That sucks, I like things to progress or regress.
I can only ride my long board (skate) now because I am old. There is the regression.
Jamie O has been killing it on the aerials and tricks.
I think there is room for everyone, long boarders, short, carvers, tricks, aerials etc.
