Do them on a trampoline for a little while if you can. It will help to engrave it into your mussle memory.

I can do it on the trampoline. Would it be better to do 540s on the tramp. so I make sure I get around on the water

bamaboarder09, wait until you are clearly off of the wake and in the air before you start to rotate. Did you get this months WBM by any chance? Rusty's little guide in that was pretty good. Anyways, pull the handle toward your trailing hip to initiate the motion once you are in the air, and focus on staying on axis. Stick the handle pass and ride away, good luck Cool

I learned to do them with the boat slowed down a little bit. Get her down to 19 or 20 and take a nice easy cut at the wake. Pass low to avoid being pulled off-axis, because it hurts.

A good way to keep the handle under control is to hold onto it with both hands until your front arm hits your back hip, then reach around. I found that letting go with my front hand too early caused it to shoot straight up, and then there was no chance of making the pass. Make sure you've left the water when you start to spin, otherwise you'll go off-axis and land on your back or shoulders. Sucking your knees up keeps you from pulling yourself over also, plus it looks better than straight-legged

If you struggle with the handle pass, one thing that helped me when learning was to get an old handle and tie a bag of sand to the end of it, then start passing it behind your back. The weight pulls the handle away from you similiar to the pull of the boat and gets you used to keeping the handle in tight and close.

Rocket, that'd doesn't really do that good of a job simulating an actual boat pull. The most realistic way to easily practice handle passes is on a kneeboard doing surface 3's.

Tell your boat driver to drive a double up. As you come around for the double, cut outside the wake on your heelside edge and try to do your 360 off of your own roller. Also slow the boat speed down a little when you do this. This is a good way to take the wake out of the picture and totally practice on pulling the rope to initiate your spin.

I know this could be a little different but when I was struggling you could try a wrapped 360, I had to do it on the knee board before as my timing was out. Its more of a just incase. I can tell you one thing though, you'll definitly get the spin! Just jump with the rope already behind the back in one hand and grab the rope up further with the other to stop you from spinning before the wake with the other.

1. you have to visualise it and go at it 100% dont back off!

2. take an easy cut in and pop it as high as you can, only going w2w.

3. once in the air pull the handle with BOTH hands into your hip. ( this starts your rotation and frees up line tension, making it easier to pass.)

4. reach around and grab the handle, keep it in nice and close to your body to avoid nasty plantage Very Happy

Just stuck my first hs/fs 360 yesterday & here are a couple things I realized I was doing wrong on previous attempts:

1.) I was thinking WAY too much. Just keep it simple: Pop, Pull (with both hands), reach around & grab.

2.) I was putting too much focus on popping really high. You don't need that much air at all to get your rotation around in time.

Hope this helps.

one thing to add. and what i do. is use the wrap handle. its great fun, but really weird to cut with.after you start landing 360 with that start the handle pass.
