| I am in a bit of a situation here. We just traded in our 2003 mastercraft x-2 for a 2006 x-2 saltwater edition. We took delivery yesterday and everything has been great with the boat. Our old x-2 had the standard perfect pass cruise control system and it was great. You could turn it on, set your speed and go. It would beep when the speed locked. It was easy to use and we loved it. On the newer models I guess, mastercraft installed their own speed control system. Even using the manual, I can not figure out how the hell this new speed control system works. The display is nothing but a tiny LCD screen and the whole thing is ridiculously user unfriendly. I am planning to ride again tomorrow and if anyone could give me a rundown of how to operate this new cruise system it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

| closed cooled engine, zincs (prevent corrosion on vulnerable metal parts), snap out carpet, self bailing cockpit, most parts are stainless or corrosion resistant, all of the electrical parts are marine grade. Its basically more resistant to corrosion caused by saltwater than the normal boats (we ride in saltwater). The most important part is definately the closed cooled engine because the regular freshwater engine is very vulnerable to corrosion. Any tips on working this new perfect pass? |
