Okay I have a few questions about some of the things I've been doing on the tramp over the winter:
Tantrum To Fake: Where do you start rotating this on the water? After you trip it, do you just switch hands on the handle and stick it, or do you hit the trip with both hands on the handle?
FS Off 360: I've been trying these on the tramp and almost have them. I've tried throwing my back shoulder down to start the spin and pull hard back on the rope after the pass but I always land straight but on my ass. Would these be easier on the water because of more rope tension?
Hoochies: I know my "tramp skate" is lighter than a wakeboard so it is easier to kick up, but how would you approach this on the water. I've been doing under-extended raleys for a season and started getting more extended later on but how do you kick the board back to grab it without catching your toe edge (a problem I had with raleys).
Thanks |

Tantrum to Fakie: Wait until you've already spotted your landing to turn the 180. This move is really like 2 moves in one, you do the tantrum, then right at the end pull the 180 around. I suppose you might be able to turn it earlier, never seen it done though, and when I try it goes all wrong.
Hoochies: If you're catching your ts edge on the way up, you're starting the move way too early. You still want to be on your hs edge pretty good when you leave the wake. Only start backing off the edge as you're headed up the wake, that'll pop you up real nice. As long as you start to stand up even a little before you leave the wake, your board will go up behind you pretty easily.
Not sure on the off axis spins on the tramp vs. the water. |

QNev, off axis 3's are way harder on the water, because it's much more difficult to pass the handle. Try learning off axis 5's on the tramp first without the rope. That will teach you how to do the natural rotation. Once you can do that it's much easier to do an off axis 3 with the rope (on the tramp).
Here's a tip. You definitely don't want to throw these with your shoulder. Quite the opposite, in fact. Kick your legs up as you would for a backroll (but more out the back, obviously), but try to keep your upper body upright. It helps to keep your eyes on the horizon. Also, it's easier if you bend your knees a little bit (and looks better IMO) after you start the rotation.
Once you can do them on the tramp the only tricky part about taking them to the water is passing the handle. |

ty540, so you get your legs back first, then go for the pass? Or do it all at once? _________________
